New trailer:
Just watched episode 3- holy crap! I can’t wait for next week!
Excellent episode.
The new director/direction really changed the flow for the better. Compelled by what’s about to happen. New episode is every Thursday, right?
I may be speaking out of my ass, but every older adult (45+) I’ve talked to about the show loves it.
Season 1 was popular, season 2 is even more.
I’ve read that online, so you’re not the first to say this and I appreciate you sharing this because it just adds to the chorus. There’s definitely something there that appeals to older folks.
Which is great news for a streaming service that is looking for content that hits with various demographics.
Think episode 3 is my favorite in the whole series so far. Thought all i wanted was action, but man they hit on some feels.
Episode 4: “Reach”- was it only 45 minutes long??? Really looking forward to the Spoilercast now.
Not done but my God, having a new director/direction really makes this turnaround. That one shot action scene was crazy.
Oh my… episode 4 was that episode for me. I had a grin the whole time. And yeah, it felt like a 20 minutes episode, not 45 min…
Halo series will never be what I had imagined it to be, but in some ways season 2 is better. They finally get it. Still not perfect, but damn close.
In hindsight:
It was a right call to have Master Chief and other spartans to be around without a suit. They made it notice that without them, they’re vulnerable to Covenant’s weapons. Taking them is like taking a blaster from Star Wars that is practically one hit kill. When they do get them, it will feel rewarding.
Yeah that’s how you know they thought about it a lot. They get what a spartan is and can do, they already showed how powerful they are, so in this episode they played with this idea of them also being vulnerable without the proper equipment in combat. It gives us a new perspective while still giving us the thrill of them getting some action. Spartans are also badass without their armors.
Edit : and yeah, it was the right call to show them without their armors from the start. It felt weird at first, but now it’s paying of.
You love to see it !
There’s a translucent green limited edition OG Xbox on a shelf in episode 4.
Edit : I didn’t see it the first time. I don’t know how I missed that !
The last shot before the scene change scenery has a closeup look at the old Xbox console.
Episode 4 was a masterpiece, exhilarating, exhausting, magnificent. Loved every minute of it. Possibly my favourite episode of any show in the past 4 or 5 years.
