Probably. 343 will have to earn the trust first - that the content will be regular.
For competitive? Maybe, one thing thatās always an issue is the fact that comp team/people tend to do is pick maps they favor leaving other maps out of the rotation, which will cause things to be stale and when 343 address that issue, they will than complain about not playing the maps they want. Itās like that vid from MaximillionDood, where he talked about how Street Fighter pros kept picking the training stage in comps because it allows them to use the lines to read the distance between their characters at a glance.
Must eat away at jon that he cant comment on forge related things still
I donāt think its that. There is a huge galaxy-sized divide between the top few teams and everyone else. Most of the other teams are structured around 1 good player but the top teams have all 4 great players.
That was fast
(7) Extraction will be Halo Infiniteās First PVE Mode! - YouTube
please be in an upcoming drop pod.
They mention itās tied to a multiplayer map, itās definitely gonna be part of a new season release possibly season 3. Still though, imagine if we get that this year alongside Forge and co-op and everything else.
It wonāt be part of a drop pod. Like the video says, itāll be a part of season 3, or potentially season 4, based on how close it is to completion. Elimination, Doubles, and some fun slayer variants are still scheduled for this season, however.
This video covers every single scripting node available in Forge. Well, in the leaked version. Considering that this is a live service game Iām sure Forge will end up being a live service tool with updates to its capabilities in the years ahead.
I didnāt have the time to view it and I still donāt unfortunately but after watching this Iām sure we can figure out what is and isnāt possible in it.
A gun that I would like to make is a needler that can heal teammates, maybe as a tutorial so if someone is making a class-based shooter they can create a healer archetype with that gun. But Iām not sure if you can change the behaviour of the needle or to track teammates (and not enemies exclusively).
I have a whole bunch of ideas of stuff I want to make already but I know itās my ADHD kicking in and distract me from real work that I have to finish up. So I might not even get a chance to get into this until Season 3 and hopefully by then itās patched up and more stable if the beta exposes any issues.
Now the following map isnāt remarkable when it comes to the visuals or anything new but this person actually employed many of the ideas that I had about making Behemoth better. Embracing some verticality, removing the instadeath pit in the middle, and making the map more like a bowl by raising the edges of the map. Now, Iām sure we can find some flaws in this and you would need to put it through 4v4 or 6v6 playtesting to find more flaws but Iām excited about the prospect of maps being improved or adapted to our own particular tastes.
One of the things I really want to do is create a Halo 3 rockets mode where weapon behaviour and movement is a bit more like Halo 3 (not entirely though). The rocket speed is a bit too fast from the rocket launcher so I would slow it down a bit, for example.
How about a mode called minefield where you shoot a rocket and it stops 5 ft in front of you and stays there? So youāre basically leaving mines. Implement this in KTH or Land Grab.
Seriously there could be millions of modes and gameplay variants. I could think of a hundred ideas and well not all of them would be homeruns, it just goes to show that thereās going to be no shortage of content.
Also it needs to be stressed that this goes well beyond the Creative Mode in Fortnite which Iām fairly familiar with. You could do a lot of cool stuff there but this goes well beyond that already on day one, whereas it took years for the creative mode to be as robust as it is today (and comparatively speaking it isnāt robust at all).
Oh and one more thing, I finished the challenges for the week and I feel like Iām starting to hate this game now haha. Forge has me excited but for some reason something clicked in my head and I started questioning everything about this game. Questions like: Do we even need Sprint and slide in this game? Does it really make it better? Does the game really need to create a movement-based skill gap? Maybe I was in a bad mood in general
This is good to see!
To keep people engaged with Halo probably Halo BR and Forge are basically the last chance for Halo to revive, because co-op did not bring it back even to top 10.
Makes sense, the fan reaction to forge so far has been hugely positive and is beginning to build a lot of hype over the Forge release, why shut it down now.
The co-op was being flighted on Halo Insider Build, so the playtime there would not add to the actual retail version. Although I do not expect a big jump when co-op officially launches, we should wait before jumping to conclusions.
