I didn’t even know he plays Halo. We need Horror film based on Halo, stat!

I’m almost positive they made certain maps more likely to be played recently or there’s a bug.

In ranked I went through my last 50 matches on that halo tracker website 44 of them have been on live fire, recharge, or streets. Only 6 matches on Aquarius, bazzar and behemoth total out of my last 50 games. No way that happens randomly.

The lack of maps is really starting to hurt the multiplayer imo, especially ranked. 6 maps, and one(behemoth) should only have a 1/15 chance of being played because there’s only one mode available for it in ranked where other maps have 2-3 modes on certain maps. Have not gotten behemoth in 74 straight ranked matches. So essentially there’s only 5 maps in ranked.

Desperately need maps soon for this games health. Hopefully forge is far enough along that they can give us an update with 4-6 343 created forge maps. Think that could help hold things over. Historically speaking this is about the time past games have received their first map pack.

Well Infinite is an amazing game and Carpenter is one hell of a talented man so he sees quality where there is. The simple act of headshotting a grunt or moving around with the grappleshot is more fun and engaging than the vast majority of the highly rated AAA games in the last decade so I see where he is coming from.

Also just saw the otherera thread about his tweet…the salt is real.

I gotta say I would agree in other shooters but Halo specificly is dif because you cant blick someone you need to be longer on your target. pc got maybe a first shot advantage but controlling is actually easier on a controller in longer fights.

I agree with you on that. Usually playing MP games in Brazil, I put into consideration the high possibility of playing with lag already (I dont know how lag is being handled in HI in non US servers). But with crossplay always on I feel like have to deal with one more variant, pc hackers, and indeed it feels always suspicious playing infinite lately. So many weird/suspicious things happened in MP for me, but I end up always putting the blame on how bad I am in good fate. I would opt out crossplay if I could to remove that feeling. Not that it is ruining the game for me, but definitely would make me feeling more comfortable while playing MP.

Forced crossplay is dumb, the whole controversy of years ago was about freedom of choice, this is the same from the other point of view and it’s equally bad imo.

I know Steam isn’t the end all be all, but a big part in making the game free was to reach those insane numbers on the PC market. I know new maps will be coming this season, hopefully it’s sooner than later.

with 120ms ping… i think i did well. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m sure the event, new game modes, store update and BtB fix this week will bring people back.

My biggest ? is why they made the season 6 months long. Seems like such a weird decision to kill momentum.

I honestly get it, they don’t want to crunch their workers most likely and also don’t want to go another season without Co Op or Forge, it’s bad optics if they did it that way.

Yeah, I think it’s still good numbers, especially for a F2P game.

And BTB not working properly, no progression system yet, challenges not truly rewarding your time… That’s not helping for sure.

Every update will bring back players, no doubt about it. Most people praised the game, but there’s just so many MP games to play right now that it’s hard to stay on top for months/years.

There’s also many people who just tried the game, to see what it was like and just got destroyed. That’s Halo, it’s a very competitive game.

There’s an other event beginning in 2 days with some new modes potentially. Let’s see what happen.

Edit: I sound a bit defensive, I know, but I think it’s just the start of the journey for Halo. The game will have a lot of ups and down, for sure.

I finished the campaign earlier in the week and I feel that, nostalgic factor aside, this is probably my favorite Halo campaign. I loved the ring exploration and the introduction of the Weapon. The gameplay and gunplay are sublime.

Looking forward to new maps (with a few remade classics sprinkled in) and an overall ranking system outside of the Battle Pass. I’m in this for the long haul.
