Not even the staunchest 343 supporter would of expected the first potential year to be this dry.
It is what it is though, itās a new era. Nostalgia was never going to carry this game and return it to the glory days anyways. Itās just another shooter nowadays, take your breaks, play other games and return to it when thereās something meaningful. Thereās no harm in that.

I love Halo but the entire Halo communityās reaction to the lack of content and dogpiling on 343 almost makes me think they are getting what they deserve.

I am dissapointed that they arenāt off to a better start, but they are clearly still rebounding from a tough dev cycle and are prioritizing dev health over a churn of content. The level of entitlement I am reading on r/Halo is sad enough but I expect that because the subreddit is a toxic cess pool, but I am also seeing the same sentiments from Halo YouTubers and Xbox āpersonalitiesā who frankly do not know what they are talking about and propose dumb and short sighted ideas.
I am annoyed at how this has all gone, but I find myself defending 343 because I do not want to be associated with the embarrassing takes I see online.

I left that subreddit after the Playlist disaster and for good reason
So how many people in leadership positions have left 343? Will this keep happening as Halo Infinite development continues? Because to be honest, dealing with the Halo Fandom sounds exhausting and I wouldnāt be surprised if it did keep happening.

Clearly, this is why the post launch stuff is having issues it seems a fair few MP staff are leaving, probably because of the stress of dev and release. I actually feel so sorry for devs at 343 because theyāve been the punching bag of the poor situation that Xbox was in.
Yes they have made mistakes that they shouldnāt have done, but so has almost every studio. They had to take over a franchise that was the soul of Xbox and at the very first outset, people already didnāt like them and just wanted Bungie back which must be shitty.
Iām gonna be frank, I think Halo fans are by far the most outspoken, angry, toxic and demanding of any franchise out there. Deving the game with this in mind must be extremely tough, change a single thing and you will get death threats and harrassed online every time you post and so on. Iāve brought it up before but we had a huge divide in the game over the fact you can sprint.
YES 343 has fucked up a lot of times and done stupid things but I think people, overreact and magnify some things way more than any other game.
I hope with all these new studios it gives them just time to fully reset as a company as in reorg things and take a step back, take a breath and refocus.
I think if they end up making a BR mode they should pretty much treat it like a brand new Halo and do it massive and this could bring Halo back in popularity like Halo 3 days, I donāt think Halo is dead or anything not at all but obviously BR games are just what people love now.
Yup I didnāt expect there to be a big content drought but Iām honestly not fussed, I donāt need to play Halo 24/7 and it to be my only MP game. Would I love to play Halo more with more content, of course I would but they are just struggling right now and to me Iām ok with waiting and there is nothing wrong having that opinion and no itās not giving them excuses or bootlicking or whatever other BS people want to say, Iād call it just being resonable, it is also resonable being upset over the lack of content but not to the point of shit talking the devs imo.

Two maps for the second season is fine. Whatās bugging me is the radio silence in regards to the ranked players getting shafted hard. We get one playlist with barely more than half the content. I feel like the population must be low because I play the same people over and over again.
343 a couple month ago acknowledged that forcing everyone to play objective was an issue, but here we are nearly 4 months later and itās still going on. Ranked slayer and ranked doubles have always been the two most popular modes. They would be so easy to implement.

behemoth. This was removed from ranked because ctf wasnāt working on the map I suppose. I see no reason why br slayer wouldnāt work just fine. I personally love the map, feels like a throwback to halo 3. It shouldnāt be annexed, maybe 343 could alter the map a little to get it working for ctf?

launch site. Has never been in ranked. So what itās a little big. Slayer would be fine on it, and one flag or assault would be great on it.

bazzar. Idk why but ranked slayer on bazzar was removed. I this is one of my favorite maps and again 343 have decided to all but remove the map. Only a 1/15 chance to play it in ranked.
If all 7 maps where in ranked I wouldnāt have an issue with the map count.

You know what would be hella cool. Squad mode on the btb maps. 4 teams of 4 playing slayer, maybe oddball, crazy king. Think that would be a blast.

Subreddits in general are pretty putrid places. They just attract the worst people
Love that all the animations are smooth now, the laggy clambering and some reload animations were bothering me before. I also feel the loading times got faster (?)
And ugh I just got reminded of how well the game plays so I now am dreading the likely long time before we get more campaign content 
Theyāre all whiners who flame the first 343 rep who comes to answer questions and then spends days complaining of radio silence from the studio.
The game is fun at its core, the content is fairly thin, and we have nothing to do but wait for season 2.

Using Twitch views as some sort of metric to mark Infiniteās ādeclineā is such stupid shit. I canāt believe people call themselves smart and then post shit like that as āevidenceā of a game dying. Itās desperation.
Iāve posted my annoyances about the game, on this very site. But even for all the eye-rolls and āare you kidding me?!ā statements, I love the gameplay loop and will boot it up as a palette cleanser nearly every day.
