Halo |OT2| Forging Ahead

I agree with poor. 343 hasn’t responded to almost every complaint. Ranked players are shafted on modes. Forced crossplay is a huge deal for some people(not me), and the hidden ranking system for unranked is bothersome to a lot of people.

Where’s the updates to weapon balancing? The mangler is an absolute god gun and is absolutely a power weapon right now.

Look at it like this… there are never delays to new items being available in the shop but basic issues like weapon balancing aren’t sorted.

I understand the point, but 343 have been very reactive with lots of very positive changes too.

Like what? Besides fixing btb(which took pretty long to do).

The only things I can think of that they actually fixed where all surrounding their battlepass and progression. Which is where they make all their micro transactions money.

They haven’t done any weapon balancing. They haven’t made any fixes to forced cross play. They haven’t fixed the desync. They haven’t added one single ranked playlist.they haven’t added any maps, just the opposite They have taken away maps from ranked, and reduced the odds of playing 2 other maps in ranked. They haven’t added any guns or equipment yet(not that I think they should have that in yet)

I do love the game and have played like 700 matches. But as far as post release support I’m trying to think where the heck do they deserve the pat on the back?

I do wonder what they hell they were doing for 5 years especially if the rumours that they rebooted multiplayer completely in late 2020 were true.

I wonder if the lack of roadmap is because 343 changed their plans in December or January or something.

Look I know I can come off pretty negatively in regards to the game. That’s just a halo super fans frustration with a few things I notice as a competitive player and me expressing disappointment in the game’s support post launch thus far.

Halo infinite is an absolutely great game and my goty from last year. I fully expect ti be playing it for YEARS.

Thus far though I’m disappointed in the games post launch support. I don’t really care about the cosmetics and battlepass stuff. I care about the gameplay, and the ranked scene. From my perspective they have moved backwards from launch not forwards. They haven’t added a thing content and gameplay wise, and have only taken things away from ranked.

I know lots of stuff is coming and I need to be patient because the multiplayer has only been out 3 months but I just feel like I got the middle finger as a ranked player. No team slayer and no doubles is nuts. And 75% chance in ranked to play on 3 Maps. 16.5% or so to play Aquarius and 8.5%ish to get bazzar.

The shock rifle, and especially the mangler need a big nerf at the onyx level. They completely break the sandbox.

Desync, explosion inconsistencies, and proximity noise(can’t hear a 1000lb Spartan walking at full speed, or jumping?)are the biggest gameplay issues besides the weapon balancing.

All that being said I’m still very positive on the game. So happy that there not tons of giant issues like battlefield 2042, and vanguard. I believe this is 343’s best halo, and I can see it growing into the best halo ever over time.

How did you get that many kills with such low accuracy while not running out of ammo?

I just hope when more maps are added behemoth and launch site get moved to btb because those maps are ass for arena gameplay.

I actually think behemoth would be fine for br slayer. I think it’s terrible for ctf tho. The map is way too small for anything above 10 players. I also think launch site would work fine For ranked as oddball, one flag or slayer. Even multiflag would be fine.

As it stands now bazzar is almost gone from ranked as well. Only 1 in 15 chance of playing it I believe. Aquarius has a 2 in 15 chance. That mean recharge, live fire and streets have a combined 12 out of 15 chance to be played. That just sucks so bad for people like me who only play ranked.

People have become so used to games that put out content constantly but forget that none of them had the same cadence in their first year. They all needed time to recover and plan after release and those that pushed real hard have come to light as sweat shops that grind their workers to the bone to get content out asap.

Launch Site should be added to BTB.

They should work fine with the older 8v8 btb, they can even trim it down to a special 6v6 version.

Launch Site and Behemoth would fit a Medium Team Battle lol, like 6v6.

Playlists, challenges, XP, store, battle pass and more.

Weapon balancing is very low priority as the game launched with one of the most balanced meta’s I’ve ever seen.

Or live fire just for a laugh!

I understand. I usually fire the horrible weapons far less. If I get on a vehicle then my accuracy rate plummets even if Im getting kills, cause why not spray down the entire area with bullets.

    • This workaround is currently only available for Steam.
    • This issue only affects starting a LAN server on PC. Joining a LAN server in-game works as expected on all platforms.
  • The Bot Bootcamp matchmaking playlist has an inaccurate Estimated Wait time. Actual wait times may vary but should be much shorter than the listed Estimated Wait.
