Halo |OT2| Forging Ahead

If you change the FOV above 78, you can’t see your legs anymore. It kind of sucks. I like to see my spartan legs, it’s such a classic feature.

Thanks, this also explains why my FOV was 78 before.

This is great

Halo championship series this weekend with a decent armor coating available for all the armor cores. I misread this at first to think they were actually giving out the armor cores instead.

Hey everyone, we’re going to be live in a little over an hour talking halo again! If anyone has any questions, feel free to reply here, post on the discord, or tbh wherever, we’ll get to em.

And that weekly reward… I don’t usually care for weapon charms, but this I think I’ll have to get.

Wow 3 votes for the rat here and this was the first weekly challenge I didn’t want to do.

That said, I’m still doing it because Husky Raid is like crack to me.

I’m completely in love with Husky Raid for many reasons.

First off it tells me that 343 is all in on focusing on fun. Secondly as a mode it plays incredibly well with these custom-made maps to the point where I really wish Infection used custom maps instead of modified 343 maps.

Lastly it’s a mode that combines mayhem and randomness with strategy to result in a mode that isn’t just “mindless fun” but a solid objective gametype that’s over-the-top.

Actually, one more thing, the best part is that people are into it because it is a standalone playlist. Whenever you play these other playlists with a handful of modes, you’ll find people not playing the objective or dropping out early because it’s not the mode they want. But everyone who joins this mode wants to play it. And it just boils down to correctly advertising what the playlist is about.

Having a dedicated CTF or Total Control playlist is a double-edged sword because you’re going to reduce the player base of that playlist to those only interested in those game types… But at the same time you’re going to get dedicated players who want to play those gametypes to play it.

So they’re stuck between a rock and a hard place but I think this playlist (along with infection) demonstrates that a separate playlist is a good idea.

None of this would be an issue if the player base was much larger, and hopefully soon we will hit that point. I truly believe that this game will get a second wind once PVE comes out, as long as the marketing is there.

If enemy AI includes bosses like a Scarab, that would be incredible.

I’ll just leave this here. Have fun!

These mid-Season 4 events have more going on than previous seasons in their entirety. Love it, and Firefight and Forge PvE should bring even more into the game

I LOVE the fact that these maps are in their own playlist and are getting exposure.

I genuinely don’t know if I’m in the minority on this: I rarely check out maps through codes because I really want to play them with a ton of people and I don’t use the custom browser. I really need to, for sure, but I wonder if I’m not the only one.

So until I do, I’m loving the addition of community maps in playlists and the fact that we’re seeing more and more of that.

While there are hundreds of great Forge maps that I could try to discover these playlists give me a great selection of stuff every few weeks. Husky Raid was great and this event seems so good judging from that Xbox Era trailer.

I’m skeptical about Super Fiesta being introduced into this mode, but I was also skeptical about Husky Raid when I first read about it…so I’m going to wait and see and try it out.

I’ve had a lot of fun in Infinite but this was the first mode that kept me playing and irresponsible amount. Where I kept "one more game"ing it and it cut into my sleep.

And I wouldn’t regret it the next morning even when I was dead tired. I would just think about the happy memories and how I was looking forward to playing again later in the day.

If Season 5 does bring AI/Firefight-esque things, I’ll be delighted. I play 4-5 times a week as is…!

Yep, I’m in a similar boat. I know of so many amazing forge maps, but unless they’re in a playlist where I can easily match make, I rarely actually play them.

It also helps that official playlists have carrots like exp, progression, etc…
