Went to play Halo Infinite after a long time because they added personal rank tiers in normal play a well.
The game is pretty much dead in Australia, I get put in to NA lobbies I think and the lag is pretty bad to continue.
Shame considering the gunplay is soo good

Forge ai, firefight in mp, and cross core would make this my ideal Halo.

I believe Halo is getting its groove back slowly but surely.
This is a fun playlist. The Forge remakes (didnāt get to Ratās Nest) are very faithful, with some nice tweaks here and there also.
Pretty fun so far. Also, next event is next week.

Iām liking Infinite and the additions trickling into the game. But the reality is that itās not expanding the audience.
But if the game shifted to large scale PvE that leverages Haloās vehicles, equipment, and AI it could give people a good excuse to download the game again for over-the-top social fun.
Thatās just an example, Iām not sure what the shift will be.
Yep, the maps are awesome. They are slightly modified to accomodate Infinite gameplay and look so good, especially Valhalla which is now full of grass.
I feel like these maps should be in a permanent playlist. These maps are timeless and I donāt feel itās because of the nostalgia factor.
I would love a High Ground remake but not a Forge one, Iād love it to receive the graphical polish of Oasis or The Forest. Also a huge bummer that the wheel in Zanzibar is not spinning, itās such an iconic part of the map.
Pretty funny moment with iSpiteful (who has been grinding career rank 9 to 10 hours a day since season 4)
Heās already at Onyx? jeez, the progression update was definitely a nice little bonus but itās still so far from what I feel they should be adding
I just think back to something like Gears 3 as I was a big Gears guy where you had the medal system thing where it would be like:
āGet 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000 kills with X weaponā or ācomplete X amount of matchesā
They should be doing these things for Infinite with headshots, double kills, weapon specific kills, repulsor kills/equipment usage etc and each milestone you reach you unlock a skin/colour/emblem/keychain/ANYTHING
Like Iām not looking for something super complicated but just something that feels like youāre consistently working towards something and encourages different playstyles
and going back to the Gears comparison, back in the day they had the cool Marcus profile picture unlock if you got 10000 kills in Ranked, thatās the kind of thing I want for Infinite where you reach a cool milestone, unlock reward, be able to show if off
Maybe Iām alone on this but I just think Infinite is capable of providing so much more than it is and itās holding the game back

Yup. Iāve detailed out the exact same earlier in this thread and thatās the sort of progression Iād love and one that I think players will appreciate when they see the rewards in gameplay. For example if you see a solid gold warthog driving around, you know that person got 10,000 splatters with it.
When you see a holographic kill effect that looks like a cross hair with a skull when someone kills you, then you know they got 100,000 headshots to earn that.
I really hope progression is expanded upon to include stuff like this. Then again, the game is really far behind in live service features that Iām not holding my breath for it any time soon.
