Hardware is going to be short for a very long time, this is 100% software related.

As stated in their blog post! I made a short summary vid for Halo newbies on our channel.

I mean that would be one of EA’s demands lol. But I don’t know, the fact they are only starting flighting sometime in July /August doesn’t scream 343i has serious plans to release the game in September.

Oh yeah I’m already a halo insider I’m so hyped

I see you are a person of (Halo lore) culture as well :+1:

I don’t follow many YouTubers but I’m subbed to Halo Canon.

His recent Halo Infinite multi-player breakdown video actually got me feeling a bit excited about spending some time playing multi-player, once the game releases. Which would be the first time venturing outside of campaign mode for me since Reach.

And me too!!!

To myself, but still

I really like how earnest and naive the young Cortana copy was

She does like a prussian/euro miltary heel click, before addressing Chief. And seemed really unsure and reluctant to do anything improvised. It was interesting to see a new construct, that has yet to be hardened, or jaded in any way. And she looked genuinely thrilled to be going in to Chiefs chip. Like she was realizing she was in a for an unexpected adventure

We could we see Jess’ theory of old Cortana coming back through young version of her, come true

Though if not, it could be cool to see this new version grow and change throughout the narrative

I kinda liked the flip in roles that the trailer showed off. It was always Cortana guiding Chief and in this trailer we see him take the mentor role to a young AI with all the experience he has accumulated after all these years.

Very nuanced performance by Jen Taylor to capture the differences between the two AI.

I love it how the narrative is shaping up to be im glad they didn’t forget about what they implied back in halo 4 about cortana fearing chief would get another ai like her which did happen

Halo Canon is really great, I follow him for the lore and book reviews (I’m not sure if I agree with all his opinions on customization in MP). Other good channels, if you are into lore and trailer analysis, are Installation00 and SameToken. Sometimes I watch UltimateHalo and HiddenXperia as well, to saturate my hunger for more Halo news.

Cut scene / story wise I feel like Halo Infinite is improving with Halo 4 as the starting point. I liked the campaign and more consistent story telling in that game (Halo 5 always feels like the movie Prometheus, to many (book lore) gaps and pacing issues). I agree with everyone that I really love the subtle details in the cut scenes, the facial and other physical expression and the voice acting. It says something about the motion capture actors/tech and voice actors/script.

I was watching some of the reactions to the showcase and Dropped Frames really pissed me off here. I thought Phil gave an interview to them and they seemed pretty level headed at the time so I assumed they’d have the same energy here…but then they were so harsh towards Halo MP which imo was the most hype moment imo during the entire showcase…and this is coming from someone that isn’t that into Halo MP as I prefer SP. They RAVED about Battlefield while Halo was just as hype if not more with those abilities and mechanics but they really critisized it harshly. They behaved like Sony fanboys tbh, pretty much trashed the entire showcase. I’m a harsh critic myself but even I loved the showcase and LOVED the MP showing. Ok you don’t have to love it but it 100% didn’t warrant such harsh words not just for the MP but the shwocase. I’m definately avoiding them like the plague and I hope Phil never gives them another interview. I don’t mind being critical but what they did wasn’t being critical…it was just unwarranted hate.

Either way, the MP showing of Halo Infinite felt Bungie a** Halo to me, a mixture of Reach customization and 3 MP mixed with 343’s evolution (grapple hook is a game changer and I hope for more cool additions like that that will make the game so much more fun).

I’m still suspicious about the SP. Still no gameplay, but I’m hoping it’s a sacrifice just to get the game ready and nothing else. If the SP is great (I’m confident the MP is going to be great) i’ll be very happy. In Staten we trust.

Halo noob here. So I recently played through almost every halo game and I don’t mean to beat a dead horse, but I still cant build up the energy to go any further into halo 5’s story; I am about 40% in and I just cant. For those who have finished the whole story and given the talks/reports in the community that Halo infinite’s story was rebooted because of the backlash they got from 5, how do you think infinite’s story will play out?

Have you seen Memento?

Like that, except a musical

Don’t worry about it, by next year everyone will be singing praises to Xbox.

Hmm, if a smart AI is only supposed to last 7 years, but Halo Infinite is intended to run at least 10… I wonder if there will be further single player content dealing with disposing of The Weapon 7 years from now.
