Looks incredible now. Can’t wait to see it in person.

And the good news is that they have more time from now to release than they had from the first showing to now.

So potentially it will look even more awesome towards release

I get that sentiment too 4 and 5 weren’t horrible but something was just missing

That does put things into perspective. Good point.

I’m just happy the cool concept art made it into the actual game this time.

This Banished structure

Is in this screen shot

Like 95% of the artwork they showed off for Halo 5 came from completely different versions of that game.

Looks really really strong! I’m not even the world’s biggest Halo fan or anything but I can’t wait to play this.

I have been viewing Halo like the Superman movies. Superman 1&2 = Halo 1-3 and Halo 4 = MoS and 5 = Batman v Superman. Superman 1-2 setup the expectation of how a Superman movie should look and sound, like Halo 1-3 did. Halo 4 like MoS changed the tone of series from a presentation and music POV. For some people that’s where the disconnect comes.

MS didn’t do 343i any favours by forcing them to ship H4 on the 360 instead of XB1 like planned.

From a visual standpoint it’s looking a lot better. Here’s hoping they can get it looking as good as Forza 4 and Battlefront 2 by release.

I wouldn’t doubt 343 they know how to make good looking games

Once again, I’m loving these updates. Cannot wait to start exploring Zeta Halo :+1:

As far as the graphics go, I wasn’t one of the people down on the game at the July reveal. They said they were going back to a simpler visual style & I’m all for that. It’s a valid design decision. I’m happy if they’re adding another layer of polish, sure, but a less noisy visual style is exactly what I’m looking for. That’s something I would criticise about 4 & 5. They did have ā€œnoisyā€ visual design. That’s the perfect word to describe it & I remain happy that 343 are moving in another direction.

Anyway, another great update from everyone involved.

I dont get some people saying foliage and rocks look bad.

This is Gears 5, for reference, and I think we all agree on thinking Gears 5 is one of the best looking games ever made, especially in terms of scenery:

I just don’t see how Infinite’s foliage and rocks look particularly bad, especially considering that’s it’s an open world game running at 60 FPS while Gears 5 isn’t.

I’m surprised no one noticed how all the hexagon cliffs have almost completely disappeared from the screenshots (they are still there but you need to seriously zoom to find them).

We’re just seeing parts of the ring that don’t have as many columns exposed, I’d bet. Doubt they redid major world geometry.

Oh, i agree, i just think there marketing team is keeping it to a minimum in these shots.

Looks and sounds fine. I wanna play it. Give it to me now, 343!

After the internet reactions last summer no wonder they focus on an area with less hexagon columns. There are different biomes and the demo area has probably still a lot of them. I personally don’t have a huge problem with them, cool would be moving structures when the ring rebuilds itself.

Apparently those are only near the edge of the ring and these new screenies are from somewhere more in the middle.

Those people aren’t Halo fans that’s why, they expect all AAA games to look hyper realistic which isn’t Halo at all.

There is now only one thing to discuss. How will the story be?

As a prime example, we have specifically chosen to begin Chief’s journey in Halo Infinite within the Pacific Northwest forest biome on a new Halo ring, a deliberate ode to the past

I have been wanting to know about the other biomes, as we have only seen one, but it seems like it is a deliberate choice. I can’t wait to see the more alien biomes that were in Halo CE.
