Halo |OT| Master Chief's Breath of the Wild Moment (Part 1)

Some changes that I think would make the game better before the full release in December:

  • Make the amount of XP required to level up 700 instead of 1000.

  • Playing a match gives you 25 XP.

  • Make the last group of challenges weapon-related but not so specific: stuff like “Kill 3 enemies melee”, “Kill 10 enemies with the AR”, etc. No turret or Banshee bullshit, come on.

  • Separate Slayer, Oddball, CTF, BTB and Ranked. Add Doubles and SWAT.

Any news on when SWAT, Grifball, Firefight might be coming?

Nope. I would assume SWAT and Grifball can’t be tooooo far off. They’re basically just custom rule sets.

Firefight we might be waiting awhile unfortunately.

then again we thought co-op in three months, forge in six, honestly at this point I don’t know.

Yeah I suspect the same.

I’m assuming what we have now is what it’s going to be for the Beta, with anything else that is coming, coming at official launch.

Am I the only who never liked much the Wasp ? (mostly because it has a single seat)

Falcon > Hornet > Wasp

It’s fun to use, but I think the banshee fits the role of the solo air vehicle and we don’t really need another one.

nah Tom French confirmed already when announcing that what’s in the beta is the full MP suite that will be there at launch.

I miss the Prowler and the Spectre. The turrets were pure shit but those were great team vehicles. The Razorback is a spiritual successor in a way.

Keep in mind Jeff is not a Halo guy traditionally.

I do see lots of people complaining about this

Havnt got to play yet but it sounds like outside of bad progression the game is very good and being recieved well

Happy for 343

But this is just battle pass things though. Some of the complaints I’m seeing about the battle pass are just how BP’s work.

My point was the “…might be the only downside” part.

Yeh fair, but I’m still raising all of my eyebrows at some of the battle pass complaints.

Game runs rough on my old ass GPU lol.

But from what I could play yesterday it was really fun, had to get used with the aim though, felt really different.

But the game has a really comfy feeling, don’t know how to put it, feels like a game from another time when we used to enjoy gaming without much worry about anything else, a nostalgic feeling.

Screw battlepass, all my homies gotta be playing my Jumpy Bot Slayer in Custom Games!

Can you complete challenges against bots?

there are some challenges that can be done against either actual players or bots, but if a challenge specifies “in PvP” you can’t do that against bots.

I totally feel this too. It’s probably the combined simplicity of its gameplay and visual design. The game feels ‘old’ in a good way.
