I love the second map.
The map is essentially like a bowl where if youāre anywhere in the middle of it there are 30 sight lines to you and you can get hit from anywhere. Note that it is the opposite in the first map. Iām the first map, some walls break it up so you arenāt the target of everyone when youāre in the middle.
Itās a design that I donāt like, personally, but if you want to do fairly good in it stay towards the outside so that youāre the one looking in and shooting at others. It may suit an asymmetrical CTF well.
In regards to bots:
Iāve noticed a lot more teamwork with the harder bots, which simulates what more often happens in a PvP game.
Iām not the best Halo player so Iām finding the bots very engaging. My K/D is just above .500 with these ODST ones.
I want to get myself hyped up too much but Iāve been hosting 16 player Halo LAN parties and the possibility (Iāve never heard anything mentioned about this, Iām only speculating) of everyone playing as a team vs 16 bots in a BTB with vehicles and such is pretty exciting.
Do the rocket physics suck?
Speaking of which we play rockets a lot and in the firing range I have to say the rocket launcher is pretty disappointing. Players drop at their feet when theyāre killed instead of flying in the air. Whereas in this tech release when you melee enemies you launch them (and likewise they launch you) into the stratosphere. So I worry about the rocket launcher physics.
I think Recharge is an amazing map. I donāt know where everything is yet like the first map. This game plays so damn good.
Yeah Iāve noticed the bots split up more at the start. Usually all 4 hang out in the back corner at the start in the other map.
I didnāt play at all the first day so I had no familiarity to the first map and I definitely liked the second map more. Felt I could get anywhere on the map at anytime but at a cost of being exposed. The ravager works really well here for area denial. Its a good mix of long range open area and tighter corridors
Yeah, these ODST bots are a noticeable step-up and they outmaneuvered me on several occasions. My team actually lost a match (48-50). Still able to get a k/d ratio of around 2, but the bots are still able to provide a challenge.
And Iāll have to disagree with you on the second map. I think itās great personally.
Game is too fast for me and doesnāt feel enough classic Halo for my tastes. I still feel they are chasing other modern shooters. Could just be that Iām getting too old for these types of things.

But the average pc game doesnāt have god aim. I think in the social environment it wonāt be an issue. Itās something to keep an eye on though. 343 will have the data of which input is outperforming the other.
The aiming on controller isnāt that bad. A little practice and we will all be ok. We shouldnt all be hitting every shot after 2 days.
I love it too, thought the first was too basic, small.
Iām hoping the variety in maps is huge. Itās extremely important to the longevity of the game. So far they havenāt disappointed.
Recharge seems like Infiniteās attempt at a Chill Out-style map and it makes sense that people are liking it.
Also the menu music reminds me of 28 days/weeks later, really good and unexpected style.
I want to point out we are not really going to break peoples kneecaps⦠
Where can I make feedbacks to 343i about the flights ?
Very addictive gameplay. Kept saying this is my last game but because the games are pretty quick and youāre back into another match just kept playing. Had two issues. One was a sound glitch in a match when everything was really quite and one when the game crashed. Still very promising from what I played. Will give it another go tomorrow but back to the ascent
Donāt feel forced to sprint or slide. Maybe only when ur running for your life. That will slow it down for you quite a bit.
Besides sprint barely makes you move faster, but it makes it āfeelā much faster.
Weāll get a survey next week I think. Thereās also a support site on Waypoint.
Hereās where to submit a ticket for bugs :

Usually for me all 4 will go straight to the camo/overshield right off the bat.
Iāve got an update on console. I hope they stealth delete some of the hidden files at the same time.
On the first map right at the start I saw all 4 bots regardless of Marine / ODST setting come straight around the same corner at least 10 times now, while the rest of my team heads straight for the center Sniper/Skewer pickup.
Recharge is incredible. Possibly one of the best 5 maps in the entire franchise. Itās like the summum of arena shooter gameplay. Both teams will try to conquer the top of the map to shoot the other team from above. Itās all about map control. Classic arena shooter gameplay like in the old Halo games and Quake but on steroids.
