Looks pretty awesome - and 3 new missions, âdozensâ of skulls, ability to use sword, fuel rod, additional weapons, 4 player online with 2 person couch co-op. Iâm definitely going to be playing this with my niece & nephews.
Looks great. Very happy that you can sprint and aim down sights while including an on/off option for both. All I need is for the Warthog to control like a modern vehicle. R2 to accelerate, L2 to brake/reverse, etc. and I will be very happy.

So basically a new coat of paint, well hope people enjoy this I guess.
great for those who enjoy halo. Still kinda stings to see the playstation logo, i wonât deny that here since i wonât get jumped for it but i did expect it anmyway given its more live service.
I just hope this is not a sign that every game going forward for xbox is just live service to increase profit margins aand go to each platform to increase profits.
Thatâs how I feel about it. UE5 has a certain look to it as well. I think I can probably stick to the Anniversary Edition though.

I think it looks good, but if theyâre not really adding anything (If because we donât really know yet) new to expand the events of the Halo ring. I donât really have any reason to want to play the game as soon as it launches, now I guess I just need to wait for the MP reveal.
Aight, cool.
So itâs clear the mainline new Halo is still quite a ways off. Shame.
But it was to be expected. Still very sad the long, long wait for a actual new game continues.
Looks lovely. Will always happily play this campaign through.
It looks good but the gun gameplay doesnât seem as tight as infinite to me.
What? No, itâs entirely new gameplay systems rebuilt for UE5, new missions, itâs not a graphical update. 3 prequel missions, 8 new guns from later Halo games, fully rebuilt, not UE5 running on top of BLAM.
The extra missions sound interesting, maybe the only interesting part for me (new weapons only means that maybe people wonât use the CE pistol for every encounter), but I do wonder what they will be? Because anything added before arriving on the ring and not while in transit would have to be part of Halo Reach or Fall of Reach.
Looks great, think this is pretty much everything I wanted from the project - a Dead Space style remakes that is authentic to the original but isnât afraid to expand upon it too. Thereâs moments in the footage where I feel like Iâm watching those incredible Halo 2 anniversary cutscenes except now itâs all real-time.
This is a great opportunity to start fresh and brings a new audience into the franchise - which for Halo I think is a good thing. Itâs not the mega-franchise it once was, and part of that is just because the shooter genre has moved on. A lot of people are talking about this as one of Xboxâs biggest franchises coming to Playstation, but it isnât the biggest anymore - not by a long shot. I think the franchise has a better chance moving forward trying to reach that wider audience across more consoles.
As for no multiplayer - I think part of what held Infinite back was having to meet the demands of such a huge range of features. If it was Call of Duty or Fortnite with a massive audience and a sizable team behind it this wouldnât be a problem - but again, itâs not. I am kind of excited to see what Halo Studios can do when they just focus on a straightforward campaign. Plus, hey, so far as multiplayer is concerned there is still MCC, Infinite and a rumoured multiplayer project coming.
I donât get why people complain about the remake, Halo studios needs an easy dub, they need some credit in the bank. If they directly jumped into a new game people would have eaten them alive, because everybody knows best.
They need new audiences to jump in, and you wonât do that by remaking halo 2 or 3. You have to start from the beginning.
Atleast after Campaign Evolved, theyâll hopefully have a bit more trust from the fanbase to create actual sequel.
They have to follow the Resident Evil blueprint. 1 old game remade, 1 new game, and so on⌠with a constantly updated multiplayer to go alongside.
Iâm happy with what theyâve shown so far, big fan of the artstyle, I think it suits Halo better, esp. the look of the shields/armor, ooo and the needler effects.
Did you by any chance play it, the gunplay looks somewhat not as tight as Halo infinite. I hope Iâm wrong but that is my only nitpick. Everything else looks solid to me.
No, we were not invited to preview this one. It stings.
Agreed the snippet shown here is good, imagine when they show the flood. My only nitpick so far is the gunplay doesnât from the videos Iâm seeing look as tight as Halo infinite gunplay which to me is one of the best gunplay out there the other for me would be titan fall 2 and the COD games.
Damn. It really does would have loved to hear your thoughts but did you per chance see or get a glimpse of the gunplay from watching. perhaps it just wasnât fast enough to me.
It looks really cool. Halo has never been my favorite series, but the first game in particular, even playing it today, has this amazing feeling of openness and emergent gameplay, like you could play a level 100 times and it would never unfold the same way twice. I hope they can recapture that feeling.
