All it takes is tricking someone to give up their credentials.
Or an aws server where someone didnât change default credentials, etc.
Video games are really often up until a few months before launch, generally. Do not judge the game at all based on extremely early/never meant for public footage years out.

There actually were people on GTAForums saying it looked like Watch Dogs or Saints Row, that it didnât look polished.
Jesus I wonder why it wouldnât look polished, a game in the middle of development. Not that I would even call it unpolished really.
Hopefully they get the guy soon, before he does real damage.

I think some of you guys are too focused on the leak or the morality of hacks. The real story is the fact that Rockstar only just started making GTA6 two years ago.
Someone make it make sense. This is incompetence at a level never seen before in the history of entertainment.

They did not start making it 2 years ago though. The build is from 2 years ago. Basically the game was in the playable state 2 years ago already.

Thatâs full production, which is the phase that comes after pre production (which often takes years).

At the risk of kicking Rockstar while they are down. They have completely ruined gamings biggest single player franchise. It has taken so long for a new GTA that anything less than the greatest game of all time is a big failure.
Think about it GTA 5 came out on PS3 and GTA6 will come out on the PS6!

They were working on RDR2 . Why dont you get this ?
GTA V came out at the end of 2013. Five years later we had RDR2. Itâs been four years since RDR2. Take into account covid, the rumors of them going back to the drawing board at least once, there were other issues etc. Five years for something like RDR2 isnât crazy long, I bet itâs longer than five years too, they probably were working on it earlier.
When you think about all thatâŚitâs really not that long. Sure, if GTAO had not been this crazy succes they might have started early work on 6 sooner or maybe weâve even had Bully 2. But their games take a lot of time. It was different in the 360 era, but things have changed in many ways too.

I get the frustration, believe me I hate Rockstar too.
As someone who basically adopted my nephew and niece, I see first hand at how disgustingly predator Rockstar is when it comes to micro transactions in real time.
But this isnât just affecting Rockstar, itâs impacting the devs the most and they have my sympathies.
