GTA 6 Trailer leaked, so Rockstar went scorched earth and published it - watch it right here

Hopefully it hits PC within a year

Rockstar never has PC launch at the same time as consoles. Not sure why anyone would expect it.

It will come out later but it will get extra TLC during that time. As is tradition.

I feel like day 1 PC is the norm now (whereas it wasn’t in the past)

For normal games sure. It is not the norm for Rockstar. And it likely never will be for a game that takes thousands of people over a decade just to make the console versions. People can quibble over whether they find the games fun or not, but rockstars open worlds and the simulation within them puts everyone else to shame.

I mean, I completely get that it stinks for a PC gamer to have to wait even longer, but I commend them for focusing on making the console version the best they can be and rewarding PC gamer patience with a better version.

Personally don’t think we should be commending anything, this is a ploy to get people to double dip.

My bad, I should have realized they were doing us a favor by not simultaneously releasing the game on PC.

Yeah, they should have hired on hundreds more developers and made them all work overtime so that you don’t have to wait.

29 million views in 4 hours, even the biggest games struggle to get those views in their lifetime. Rockstar’s juice is unmatched.

I was watching the FTC argue against MS saying CoD is a gaming unicorn but if there is any game or franchise that’s a unicorn in gaming it is definitely GTA.

I mean, if we want to play that game then I suppose we would have cheered them on if they did not release an Xbox Series X/S version simultaneously either.

No need to be so defensive about this game. Every other developer is releasing games Day 1 on Console and PC, Rockstar could as well if they wanted to. They have been pretty successful with this strategy but none of it is to benefit the player. It gives them a second launch, a new audience, and lots of double dipping. It’s not cynical, it’s reality.

This is the only game this generation that would push me to get a PS5 Pro if it if indeed 60 fps on it.

Small indie studio Rockstar

Studios have put out huge games simultaneously on PC + 8 different console configurations, during or closely after the pandemic, and none of them have a fraction of the resources or privileges that Rockstar have.

I mean it’s what was expected. Tbh, another gta sequel can’t really get me excited anymore. It all comes down to whether the game plays any better than 5. That one feels so bad to play nowadays.

I’m not suprised it’s not releasing on PC to start as this is what they have almost always done and Rockstar/GTA is probably the only game that genuinely make their own market but it’s still odd. The online PC community that has created fully immersed GTA 5 worlds with players acting out roles has been a huge boon for the game.

I’ll wait for next-gen Xbox. I suspect 2025 = fall 2025, which means this is a whopping two years out.

At which point I might as well wait for proper stronger hardware, not just a mid-gen refresh.

The 2025 date is a right turn-off.

Visually incredible, I mean I thought some segments were real life footage when I watched it on my phone when it was posted.

Besides that, just a trailer where crazy shit happens in Florida, and with that release date so far out I don’t really have feelings for it yet.

I got the 100% single player achievement in pretty much every Rockstar game that has them, I do enjoy the SPs. So I wish I didn’t have to say I hope the online portion of the game doesn’t “enroach” the game too much. Though that wasn’t the case with RDR2 at least. I used to love the online in GTA 4 and RDR1, so again I don’t like that I now view it as a “threat” lol.

I also wish we could go back to how their games controlled pre-GTA V, which was fine feeling, but I already know this is gonna have that sluggish feeling they seem to love now.

I don’t get the use of Tiktok in the video, seems odd. Like, vertical footage of gameplay is… A werid flex.

I understand it for RDR2 but not GTA. Really hope it’s a lot more smooth this game.

Have they confirmed platforms? I didn’t see that in the trailer?

Yep. Take Two officially said Xbox Series and PS5.

It seems Lucia is the leader of the two, so she’s probably the brains while he is the brawn, I guess. She seems cool, but it’s way too early to tell and the guy, well…he said one word and barely saw him. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
