Good performance on all platforms for Hitman 3. Series S continues to have fps parity which is nice.
Donât know how people look at the Series S and say its a dud.
Only thing I wish Microsoft did better was say 1080p machine that can go up to 1440p in best cases.
So are there any âbigâ third-party games left in the immediate future?
With everything being delayed to COVID, I think this is the last truly âbigâ third-party game until Outriders in April right?
Yes
Yes there are others or yes Outriders is the next âbigâ third-party game?
Because I looked over the release dates from Gamestop and the next two âbigâ third party games I could find are:
Outriders Back 4 Blood
Because Iâm sure as shit not counting Werewolf: The Apocalypse by Cyanide.
Microsoft definitely stabbed themselves in the foot but i always knew that it was a 1080p machine that would occasionally have higher res games. They technically didnât lie but they intentionally misled which i guess is to be expected when it comes to marketing.
Yes, itâs true. You can check it. And Series S in a lot of cases has shorter loading times than both X and PS5.
Ah yes, but I meant as in how Bloober does have raytracing in PS5 version, but still not in XSX, just not good. Really do hope The Medium has it but weâll see.
Wait, what? Shinobi works for Sony?
Iâm not surprised. Some folks are insufferable and always donât know what logic and common sense are. XSX is the more powerful hardware, it was only due to some tools being late that this advantage wasnât fully shown yet in the beginning and now weâre seeing it. Itâs only logical, but I guess not to blind fanboys, lol.
Thatâs interesting about load times, I didnât know that either. Even with non BC games?
At my brotherâs place I did see how fast Spidey MM loaded and in videos Demonâs Souls, that was quite damn nice! As to be expected, but even though third party devs might not take full advantage of PS5 SSD I did think it having better loafing times was a given. This surprised me, especially after all the hype.
@Staffy He works for Wushu studio who are the developers on Destruction All-Stars. Not technically a Sony company, but they are making a PS5 exclusive published by Sony.
It was mostly a jokeâŚ
Honestly, the pandemonium a month or two in this forum looks silly in retrospect.
Hey now, letâs not count our chicken before they hatchâŚ
We only haveâŚ
three months before the next big third-party game!
I appreciate what these guys do but it has always bothered me how one of the two guys always refers to higher resolutions as anti-aliasing. They also refer to ray tracing near the end of the video.
Am I missing something? Not sure whatâs funny with these quotes.
Itâs not disingenuous. Can we not act as if people have some sort of agenda or bias when someone points out a factual flaw? The Xbox versions do have some drops in specific instances. No reason to downplay this when itâs clearly shown in the video.
Is PS5 SSD bottlenecked by the CPU or something? It should load third party games faster. Making an SSD so much better than the rest of the components always seemed silly to me because it could lead to scenarios like the current one where pretty much all games load faster on Xbox, even next-gen SKUs.
Shinobi means no malice at any time. Heâs like one of the most chill insiders ever, giving everybody on all platforms so juicy deets, and is always excited for a game regardless of platform.
Heâs pretty cool.
Donât think the CPU is really making a big difference here. Both systems have decompression blocks to assist the CPU. There are a lot of aspects that could effect loading in games. No matter what, weâll never see the disparity in loading as the specs on paper would indicate.
Exactly, which is why calling him disingenuous is beyond silly. The game does have some drops on the Xbox platforms. The issue isnât with Shinobi, itâs with some people accepting this or making a big deal about pointing it out.
I think some people are just talking issue with the wording saying âsome dropsâ meaning that it has more than one, when itâs just a single drop in one area in one instance.
Itâs somewhat poorly worded I think is some peopleâs problem.
It would have been better to say
âOne observed framerate dropâ
Some drops implies several, which is not the case, as it appears to be singular.
It is disingenuous because his twee doesnât accurately reflect what DF reported. Relax, dude, and focus on not spreading FUD yourself. (âperfect dark wonât be what fans wantâ )
Can only be happy af about this!
