Maybe we shouldnât be too sad about the skipping of Xbox, could have been a disappointment too.
If it does come to Xbox, I can bet it wonât be as pleasing. The only upside for me would be quick resume. In short, Iâm not counting on âsuperiorâ edition.
DF Article @ Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PC is a disappointing, barebones port ⢠Eurogamer.net
Summary from Phantom88 @ B3D
- Framerate is tied to dynamic resolution scaling with no way to turn it off unless using mods.
- Some texture options are very lack luster and donât add much to the visuals.
- High end systems have frametime issues
- DX12 seems to be the cause of major frametime issues.
- Running the game in forced DX11 seems to fix most frametime issues, still not a perfect solution. Some frametime issues still exist, but the FPS is significantly improved.
- 30FPS mode has frametime issues too, so putting that on wonât help.
- Running DX11 breaks the vsync but can be enabled at the driver level.
Whatâs up with dx12 performance compared to dx11 in some gamesâŚ
I have seen this in Watch Dogs Legion as well
Itâs very weird considering DX12 released in July 2015. Youâd think with 6+ years of time they would have a handle on it.
Part of the issue is the developers clamored for more control, so many of the things DX11 did for you is now up to developers to control in DX12. They thought they knew better. They couldnât handle it. Either they overestimated their skills or underestimated how difficult it could be having to do it all themselves.
Part of the issue can be mitigated by having the games precompile the shaders, but that doesnât even begin to cover just the tip of the FF7R PC issues.
The only way Square can save their reputation now is by fast tracking the GaijinBox release.
Superior edition? Oh man I think we would be lucky to get a on par with PS5 edition and not just the PS4 Pro one or so, lol.
Pro? Come on now, if it ever launches we are going to get a 720p Xbox One port with no options for 60fps, and it wonât be updated until the Backwards Compatible team does it themselves./s
Outside of some horrible looking doors here and there, FF7R looked pretty good and ran pretty well on PS4 Pro. I had no real issues with the game on a technical level.
We win anything?
Nope. Returnal, Lego builders and R&C were top 3.
What the hell is Lego Builders?
Exactly what the title suggests.
What? No Forza Horizon 5?
DF: Forza Horizon 5 is a stunning display of what next-gen can look like real time on next-gen consoles. Stunning graphics, performance and more.
Also DF: LEGO.
Maybe they excluded crossgen games
Arenât these Johns personal picks? Iâm not sure he likes racers much.
