It’s fixed on PS5
Great! It always rankles me when a bug is keeping something from working as it should ![]()
So now all next gen versions have been fixed and are in good shape lol.
AVG resolution is 1440p. Rarely reaches 4k.
Frames dip in stressful scenes 55-60
Ground texture Poppin visible
Gameplay looks good. And setting as well.
Those numbers don’t seem too bad to me? It’s a small team right? I’m not familiar with any of their work.
Funny cause other places are celebrating the statement that this game is 4k 60fps with Ray tracing, looks like the real world performance is far from that.
Honestly the fact it averages at 1440p with ray tracing and with solid enough performance is actually quite impressive. You don’t need to try and make out the game runs at 4K to make the game’s technical aspects seem impressive.
Actually, people were doubting that statement. There’s no game that does 4K at 60 with RT on console, but 4K res is what Sony has always pushed in their promo, even with the PS4 Pro. It happens on the Xbox side too. 4K is more selling than 1440p. But I will say that IQ is more important than resolution. The dip to 55 and texture poppin with an high-end SSD is far more “concerning” imo.
It’s ray traced GI which is really cheap using svogi.
Cheap or not, the PC space shows that RDNA is not on the same level as Nivdia when it comes to ray tracing performance so to get it running at an average 1440p and 60fps without the need for DLSS is quite impressive in my opinion. This is also in conjunction with the games other technical aspects.
SVOGI can be done via software on the Nintendo Switch. Its what Crysis uses. DF coverage @ Crysis Remastered: this is what ray tracing looks like on consoles | Eurogamer.net
Seems like this game would had been a great beneficiary of VRR.
If they had VRS it may not have needed VRR.
Interesting how this game is using the Dragon Engine and is 4k60, while Yakuza Like a Dragon is not.
Huh, wait. Lad is not 4K(dynamic) with 60fps? But we have Zero which is like 1440p and 60fps.
Lad is either 1440p 60 or 4k30 on the X. It’s probably because Judgement is a port.
The Xbox tools got better?
It’s also 4k60 on PS5. Maybe they optimized the engine a bit differently for this game.
Even RT is very subtle!
