The bump in quality between PS5 base and PS5 Pro seems miniscule compared to Xbox One → Xbox One X and even Xbox One X → Xbox Series X. (Not even taking into account PSSR’s issues and some games looking worse on the Pro than they do on the base console.)
It honestly makes me wonder what we’re going to see with PS6 and Xbox next console and if the quality jump is going to be so small that we all just shrug, especially since the new consoles will probably cost $800 or something. I feel like I could be happy with Series X for a long time if the disparity between the huge price and the barely discernable quality boost keeps escalating. Cross gen forever.
