So it’s in the same location? Don’t know why, but I actually thought they made a new location too. But that was not a realistic expectation of mine.
No it’s all on the Mexico map. They do incorporate some props/decorations from the previous games though.

To be more precise:
There are some playlist events that are tied in to the anniversary event, like smashing 10 Colorado-themed bonus boards. Those will expire like any other playlist events. But I think the Horizon Origins story and the midnight battles are permanent additions.
Every time I come back to this game I can’t get over how dang joyful it is. Everything about it is a pure celebration of cars. So good!

When is DLC2 coming out? Or more to the point when would we “guess” that it’s coming out?
Feels like if it was coming this year then we would have an announcement already. I’m guessing a trailer at The Geoff Awards and a February release.
DLC1 was already way “behind schedule” compared to previous FH games right? I bet we’ll be waiting a while.
I’m really hoping for something that is tarmac-focused for once. Most Horizon DLCs seem to be focused on offroad (Storm Island, Blizzard Mountain) or fantasy based (Hot Wheels, Lego). My favorite aspect of Forza is road racing and that never seems to get DLC love.
Something that’s like in a city environment and JDM themed, or maybe like a Fast and the Furious/street scene type thing, would be amazing.

I like the brand tie ins. If I was in charge I’d make a Jurassic Park island DLC map, racing T-Rex as he chases you. A North Pole Christmas themed map would be fun too if you didn’t want to get another license Racing Santa Claus and his sleigh.
It’s so good. Really enjoying this season. So much fun things to do. The music is perfect amd a nice trip down memory lane

As someone who never played a Horizon game before 5, this new content doesn’t tickle my Nostalgia, but it’s brought me back the game and finally really enjoying it again.

Since picking up my Series X a few weeks ago, this is the game I’ve put the most hours into. Still not nearly as many as I’d like because (broadly gestures at This Thing Called Life) but it’s definitely an example of the live service model done absurdly right. There’s such a vast amount of things to do, and it’s the most fun I’ve had with a racing game in a very long time.

I easily get 6-8 hours worth of game time every week just because of the festival playlist
If anyone is interested in online multiplayer, then there many options to play as well
