I can’t wait for tomorrow, I’m not doing the NZ trick because today I don’t have much time for it anyway. I think next release should change many things, I’m seeing the first signs of franchise fatigue, at least in reviews.
That would be odd, since the E3 reveal was a big, big step up from 4.
I’m starting to feel franchise fatigue but I think with a few changes I’d be happy again. I would’ve liked to see Forza Motorsport release before Horizon, it sorta messes with what I’m used to haha. It feels a bit too early for Forza Horizon 5 since 4 released 3 years ago and was seeing regular updates for a long time.
It’s starting to feel like an MMO that wipes the map and progress on every 3 years, I don’t really feel too much of an urge to go back to older titles after getting the latest title and ugh. It’s very hard to explain… Playground always has some excellent gameplay but this game sorta feels very crossgen-y at the moment.
I’m looking forward to trying it on my Xbox Series S but I don’t know if I’m going to pull anywhere close to the 80 hours I put on FH4 and the 100+ I did on FH3.

I dont expect them to go back to the 2 year dev cycle for FH6, im sure it felt neccessary last gen but they have so many studios now, they can give them all the time they need
So 3 years, releasing on next gen only hardware and all the upgrades from the new engine should lead to amazing things

For something new I wonder if it could work if they added boats, jetskis, quads as available vehicles. It would be a little like The Crew but I’d welcome it.
Isn’t this the longest they’ve worked on a FH game yet? I can’t imagine it being that short. You mean career, right?

I’m hoping the next one is an overhaul tbh. Go more crazy in every way possible, maybe beyond cars even, shake the formul up. 4 years dev cycle would be fine by me, FH5 can be supported for longer easy.

Played an hour on my vacation to New Zealand.
Wow!
Had to adjust a little bit to normal road behaviour after drifting through the UK on the wrong side of the road the last 3 days. Drives a bit different, more heavy? Have to investigate this. Audio is way better than FH4 and the map seems to be much bigger. This will be a lot of fun!

That seems pretty substantial for a DLC, like a new game lol. I would imagine a lot of the core physics of the game won’t just easily plug in to a water focused game but who knows.
