I don’t think that’s confirmed. Pretty sure they’ve said it won’t be that car. Might have been during a stream, can’t remember exactly.

Nope. They didn’t say it’ll a cover car. It’s still to be confirmed.
Of course it could be Mercedes-AMG Project ONE, but it could some different car as well.
It’s not, or else they would have no issue revealing it, it’s probably something yet to be revealed like this countach or maybe the new nissan z?
If they have managed to buy the license for the new Countach that will be mind blowing. Lambo all day every day!
Getting your car as the face of forza horizon is such a big get, I feel like manufacturer’s should instead have a bidding war

I still feel like the cars look kinda as if they are made from plastic or something
Are you watching at 4K ?
The gifs on my phone can look plasticky, yeah, because all the details on the car are lost.
Watching on a big screen, you can see all the reflections and it looks great.
Disagree, the car models look really good and the sound is so good. 
I thought the materials used for the cars great but weren’t the best in some of the older games (my personal opinion was that games like Gran Turismo and Driveclub did it a bit better), but I think they nailed it this time.
I’ve got to say that these weekly videos are pretty freaking awesome and it tells us a lot about Playground Games to be at a point where they can show off the game so confidently many months ahead of launch.
Yeah. This time they nailed sound and visually it looks much better. Still feels like DriveClub had better shaders or something.
Driveclub has the same gloomy ambient lighting everywhere but this game has a dynamic weather lighting system.

The real life is gloomy 
Will need more footage but still feel like the cars look too glossy or something. But not all the time. Still DriveClub looked spectacular during the raining. Hope will have Forza footage in rain from cockpit view.
But lighting system in FH5 is spectacular.

Well, during the day DriveClub never looked good, only during the rain. They really nailed lighting there. But even in that image car has less that “glossy” effect or whatever it is called.
I mean even here - despite absolutely bad environments car is glowing less.
Anyway, when we get more footage and images will be more interesting to compare.

Regardless how you see it environment and lighting in FH5 is on another lvl and cars look much much better than in the old engine. I assume this is the new engine. Also this is a open world game. Cars will look better in Forza Motorsport, which is also a track racer. I think the teaser is the fidelity we can expect from a next gen only game.
