I know people are excited by the prospect of an Obsidian Fallout, but this rumour only brings me annoyance. Nothing is confirmed yet, and thus it might not happen. Even if it does happen, it will take ages for Obsidian to begin working on it and finish it, leading to yearly bitching about ‘where New Vegas?’ at every show.

Hopefully it really isn’t Fallout: New Vegas 2, but another spin-off like New Vegas was.

I for one would enjoy seeing a Fallout: Detroit Windsor.

We know in the Fallout universe Canada was annexed and it would have been hit by bombs, because this version of Detroit never had a down time, like in real life and so Detroit should have been a very prosperous city before the bombs fell.

Having it take place in both Detroit and Windsor, you would be able to visit the Fallout’s version of the big three auto companies, their versions of a spin on Tigers stadium, a spin on Joe Louis arena, Masonic Temple, Fort Wayne, Windsor University’s underground tunnels, Michigan Central Station and Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, just to name a few.

Plus just just like in New Vegas there is casinos in both Detroit and Windsor.

There would be potential to go into the salt mines in Detroit or have those changed into a Fallout shelter.

With this being the first game to show annexed Canada, you could see maybe a Canadian version of the Fallout Shelters in America. Plus instead of the Brotherhood of Steel, maybe Canada brought back Mounties and they ride on robotic horses or motorcycles instead.

There just is so much potential to see what Canada created in this universe and then how that country is impacted, once it becomes part of America.

I take anything new Fallout, but I agree that a new location is preferable. We’ve had Las Vegas so let’s see something else. It’s possible they just internally refer to it as NV2 because the internet has done since forever too.

“New Vegas 2” does not really mean New Vegas 2. It is just an idea/internal name for “Obsidian Fallout Sequel”. It likely follows up on New Vegas and has a focus in similar surrounding areas to the Mojave.

That’s what I’m hoping, well actually a brand new city I’d love. NV was great but I will never prefer that game world over Fallout 3, no sir. F3 has that in the bag.

The realtime shooting in F4 was greatly improved already, but I still used VATS the most because there’s just nothing like popping off limbs in slowmo, oh man.

Kinda hoping that Starfield has a equivalent of VATS, but probably not.

Yeah, “early talks” is not something that any of us need to know about. Pre production? I’d take that… but talks? Every forum and YouTuber is acting like it’s a done deal.

By the end of this generation we’re going to end up with a nice list of stuff that never materializes if he keeps leaking stuff like this and Kojima.
