Elden Ring |OT| Rise Tarnished & Become The Elden Lord (of the dance!)

I just beat Redmane Castle and that ridiculous Ganon boss. Great Glintstones come in handy as well as the summons. Kind of odd they give you so many NPC summons but he’s one of those bosses where you have to try and avoid getting hit otherwise he can KO you quickly. But being a magic user he becomes a joke Didn’t even realize Redmane was optional though.

I wonder if after the massive success of Elden Ring, GRRM wants to get involved with the IP in a more active way, maybe flesh out and realize a story arc and characters for a TV show based on the game’s world. There are many big events and interesting characters they can explore.

Bamco isn’t going to let anyone share FromSoft for a long time.

yeaah. I mean, owning their biggest IP and losing the studio that worked on them would be a travesty for Bamco. They’ve hit a goldmine here, I’m not sure if any of their previous games in recent history if ever have sold this much this fast. Expecting Elden Ring to get Skyrim level longevity in the coming years + all of the transmedia potential they seem to wanna explore.

The director mentions it again.

An anime would be a front runner for Bandai Namco to wanna greenlight right away lol.

@Friday @Vivir imagine Mappa, UFOHouse or Wit being assigned to work on an Elden Ring anime.

Hey so I just killed Malekith and omg I don’t want to do that again anytime soon. But anyways, if someone could tell me how to reach this level of the map that would be great. Do I just keep going through the story, or do I have to get there some other way?

You need both halves of the secret talisman. Once you have them go back to the elevator that got you into the mountain of giants area and you get the option to press right to use the secret medallion instead of the standard one

Oh okay, thanks

From Software is Kodokawa . So its probably WIT , Madhouse or Bones if we are lucky.

Namco and From are just swimming in the cash right about now.

So I created a second character last night as I want to try out a either a faith/strength build or a faith/dex build. Either way, I want to try out the incantations considering how frontloaded faith shit is within the first part of the game. Also I want to wield big meaty swords.

I just felt myself tiring of my Int/Dex build and seemed to be hitting a brick wall with progressing the story and my character.

People with faith builds, how are you liking it? Any brick walls you experienced?

Thanks, I found the moonveil and it was an easy fight after obtaining it. Also, I’m really liking that weapon and rethinking my whole build and might toy around with a dex/int build

Rennala was one of the easier boss fights for me as an astrologer, and I only hit her with spells. For me the key was not what spells I was using (though I think it was Rocksling) - but that my wolves interrupted her so much she could barely cast (in phase 2). I basically had to dodge a spell or two until the wolves got going then I just stood still and burned her down.

Well, crap. Did not mean to delete that, but I’m not going to retype it now…

yessirrr. I forgot Bones… Is Madhouse super busy (not like that’s stopping the likes of Mappa lmao)

Also, I just realized I said UFOHouse instead of UFOTable lmfaoooo, my apologies, early morning shit.

Hey guys (Spoilers ahead for those not far into the game) so after I beat Rennala and exploring the Raya Lucaria I thought of exploring Caelid which is one of the first places I stumbled upon when I started playing this game and I just had no desire to explore it right then and I knew right away I wasn’t supposed to be there lol, anyway I decided to do some exploring and saw an unexplored area on my map called “Liurnia” so started running to that area instead of Caelid, on my way there I came across a big lizard like boss called Magma wyrm which was at the top of a mine or something like that and surprisingly killed him on my first try, after being done with him I saw an elevator that takes me to a place called “Atlus Plateu” and I just don’t know if I’m supposed to be here yet, I’m level 69 but not really sure what to do now, should I go ahead and explore this area or is there another area I should do first instead?

New patch is out (1.03) by the way. Looks like they made a lot of balance adjustments. Things looks slightly better for my astrologer.

They also fixed some of the NPC questlines and included markers on the map that indicate their locations (after you’ve started their quests–so you gotta still find them first). Added a new NPC that I’m assuming is in Jarburg.

so was mimic tear nerfed?

They state they decreased the damage of MImic tear. Which is a crying shame since it was hilarious.
