Elden Ring |OT| Rise Tarnished & Become The Elden Lord (of the dance!)

Beat Godrick last night with the help of a couple of sorcerers. The fight felt very similar to Margit aside from a couple additional AoE attacks. It only took me 3 tries…I felt appropriately leveled for the fight (around RL40).

What was more interesting was how someone I summoned way before the fight actually showed me a ton of alternate pathways hidden around Stormveil that allowed me to snag some pretty quality items. But then he led me to an optional boss that basically sits at the basement of the castle and what the fuck…that fight was harder than the actual boss. The fighting area is so cramped and the boss just slithers around which fucks with the camera if you’re targeting it. It was impossible to recover my runes because you can’t recover them without having to engage the boss so I just sacrificed them as an opportunity to run around and grab whatever loot was on the ground.

Also, I’ve realized that a lot of the early game items is more tuned towards a faith build rather than pure sorcery. If I’m able to respec, I may just switch from intelligence to faith and see how that goes. I have so many incantations sitting in my inventory that I can’t use because faith as the Astrologer class is so damn low.

are rune arcs farmable?

I rolled a new character to test a faith build and faith is pretty op compared to my pure melee quality build main. I think faith dex is the way to go early on.

Oh golly I found another swamp! :matrick_emote:

Wait, aren’t there bell bearings that make it possible to buy unlimited regular smithing stones from the twins at the roundtable? Of course, there are levels to that as well, but it still makes it muuuch easier to just be able to buy as many as you want.

Don’t play as it’s not my thing, but this made me laugh…

Keep at it dude, I’m nearly finished with the game, and Radhan was by far the hardest boss. If you can beat him, you can definitely beat the rest of the bosses

There are, but you find the higher levels of those two items way past the point where you need the upgrade and were you would normally start finding correctly leveled smithing stones.

Rerolled faith. Thing are smooth sailing now.

YOu have to find the stones. The higher level stones appear in the latter areas of the game…that you aren’t supposed to be in yet.

Got massively sidetracked by other reviews and working on podcast 100, finally finished the game off tonight with 4 one shots on the final bosses. I… am massively overleveled. Sword and shield both maxed out, mimic tear maxed out, and my character ended up at level 137 :doge:

true Elden Lord behavior

Yes. Lay down your summons sign outside boss rooms by the sign post. Everytime you help someone beat a boss you get a rune arc

I am almost falling under the FOMO pressure and contemplating whether I should buy the game on Xbox or not.

steam reviews are the absolute best (minus the ableist joke), im crying

and people replying to this review "why did you still give it thumbs up then? :sob: :sob: " lmfao, they should probably touch some grace, this is hilarious.

Don’t let FOMO persuade you, especially if you’re not sure if you’ll like the game or not but if you’re a fan of previous From Software games then i say go for it.

I’m regretting my ($40) purchase and that’s all I’m gonna say :wall_peek:

Well, the thing is that I personally do bother if I spent euros at games. Even If I dont play them. I don’t play games that much at all.

Recently I bought Switch OLED with Pokemon Arceus and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (basically almost 500 euro in a day) (and I had old switch in the past with Zelda and Arms) and Taiko and I launched it literally once  I boguht CP2077 at launch and did not even play it :joy: Never finished a single From Software game either lol
