Np, the + to your weapon is by far the most important thing for upping your damage and I’ve seen a lot of people skipping it and instead just leveling themselves. I fought that boss when I was +13 and wiped the floor with them.

Got to +12 and beat them silly in the first try (I was running with a +1 sword LOL). Man, I have a feeling this just got a whole lot easier. Thanks again Jesse!

Oh wow, I didn’t realise that. I spoke to Sir Gideon at the Roundtable who gave me the lowdown on the shardbearers, and since Radahn in the Caelid Wilds was the second one in his list after Godrick, I figured I’d go after him. I found an awesome meteorite staff with S-rank intelligence scaling in the scarlet rot swamp, so this sorcerer is glad he went there early!

I got that staff so early way before beating margit.

So its true that magic is broken in elden ring? (always found it useless in older souls games)

I never got into the dark souls games. I did beat sikero and like it a lot, but this is just another level.

I started with prisoner class, and have leaned pretty hard into the mage side of things. I’ve got 3 sorceries equipped. +7 spear and s class meteorite staff found very early.

My next playthrough will be a no magic class. Loving it.

Yes, totally! It’s a short cosmic musical that feels like like a Double Fine adventure made with David Bowie love. The music (my God the menu song!) and the integration with the whole experience, carried by the amazing art, was magical, really. One of my favorites in 2021.

Any tips for Samurai user? Haven’t gotten to play a ton but love it so far. Beat 2 bosses. Don’t know what to do with equipment though? Should I just level up the samurai sword or try something else

I focused on the main weapon and eventually found multiple katanas and dex weapons that felt good to use alongside it depending on the boss.

Play until you feel stuck, the exploration is my favorite part of the game

I sont mind monster respawns but they need to be something other than merely leaving the area and returning that triggers them.

Yea that part is silly, have them trickle back over a little time not just magically re appear.

It depends is this your first souls game? If so then yes, watch a video for beginners so you understand how to play. If no, then just go in and have fun

The side bosses/dungeon bosses are honestly very easy, especially for a souls game. The main bosses on the other hand are some of the hardest ever in the series.
