I had to skip to the last bits because I gotta run for a bit, I was too curious though.

As for the image quality, is it noticeably crisper in quality/resolution mode?

if you don’t move, once you do then no

Great review!

Still on the fence if I should get it now or wait a bit… But it certainly moved up my list.

Aw damn!

Well, i wasn’t planning on getting this immediately, I’m just not going to add a huge game to the already biiiiiiiiig backlog. Maybe it will get better in future patches.

Great review, Jesse. Looking forward to playing this on Thursday.

Thank you, Horizon.

@Doncabesa

Did you see and explore any towns and/or cities with shops and stuff? Always one of my favourite things in RPG, after being in the wilds for hours and then discovering a nice, relaxed town or city.

And I believe I asked you this in the preview as well, is the world overall worthwhile to explore? It’s more linear than before, but it was said there would be bigger areas too, do these contain worthwhile items and stuff like journals, letters etc that might contain environmental storytelling? Is there a good amount of this?

I’m finishing Inquisition and will go straight into it. I’m now fully in and can’t wait to see where this next chapter leads us and the world of Thedas.

As always, very informative review. I had some worries and I’m relieved that it is the full package that we expect from the series.

I can’t wait to dive in.

Yes, and yes. Lots to explore, nooks and crannies to go around to solve little puzzles and find chests with loot. Tons to read.

Here’s an interesting Kotaku article about the variance of reviews for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

No greater variance could be found than on my Youtube recommendations:

Skill Up apparently hates it. But personally I’m more interested in what ACG has to say, I often find myself agreeing with a lot of stuff in his game reviews. But he didn’t receive a code, so it probably won’t be this week.

Didn’t watch Mattt yet, I do often agree with him on Bethesda related stuff and I definitely expected him to be quite positive about it. But when it all comes down to it you gotta try it yourself. When the time is right to buy it, I’ll probably skip character creator so I can play it and if I dig it I’ll keep it, but if not, I should be able to ask for a refund if it’s within two hours iirc. Gonna do that with Wukong as well.

Two hours isn’t nearly enough of course, but at least you get a feel for combat, characters, dialog.

It’s a bit of a shame that Matty is so disappointed. He seems like an okay guy and he generally loves BioWare games. But not every game clicks with every fan.

If I recall correctly though, he didn’t like Inquisition at first either and came around on it after giving it a second chance.
