Cyberpunk 2077 |OT| It feels like it's taken 2077 years for this game to release (and might take another 2077 years for it to be fixed)

Firstly, I agree with you about CDPR doing really hard work on fixing the game bugs and glitches, and once they’ll fix the issues people have with the game it has the potential to be among the best games.

My principal disappointment wasn’t really about the technical side bugs and glitches cause I know and trust CDPR capacity to fix that quickly. When I said 2 years I spoke about everything, I meant expansions and tweaks, content from enhanced edition etc included like the final form

Of course I completed and I can freely state my opinion as much as I want. Freely. Like anyone.

When you play the game you’ll tell me what you think. Cause now like you said you didn’t play it yet. It’s clear we have different tastes but it’s good to have a variety of opinions.

As for the supposed constant negativity, I think some of you are too sensitive about that case.

Do I like the game? Oh yes a lot. Some parts by huge margin Do I hate the game? No, just some parts like in many other games, by huge margin too. Do I want CDPR to improve their game? Yes sure. Do I want CDPR to fall? Not at all far from that. Am I disappointed with the game? Yes about some things. Am I free yo express my opinion? Yes.

I care about the game that’s why I pointed some aspects I don’t like. Even some of my favourite games have really bad aspects I dislike and am really disappointed with and also I make fun of some of my favourite games doesn’t mean I hate them.

I really love The Witcher 3 or GTA V or even RDR2 for example but I hate some other things and even make fun of things like Roach or some weird funny glitches with Arthur Morgan.

I know the game is divisive but some of you just have an extreme reaction to negativity and take it as if it was going hard. Maybe you read my posts in a tone which is not what you think it is or maybe some of you have anger management issues or in a delirium of persecution. Life is hard but life goes on. It’s just a game. So move on. Simple as that.

If some of you can’t handle it, it is alarming. Do I go after people for posting positive things? Nope. So please reconsider your views on it.

Never said myself the game is trash. Maybe you thought that…There are various level of satisfaction like various level of disappointment for everyone. Some agree with some levels, others not. Simple.

I repeat I can like a game while disliking some other parts at the same time doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the work done behind the game. Nuance. Copy? I feels like with some of you it’s mandatory to be in a constant praise of things and anything below will be regarded as hostile or such. Some seem to react as if it was a member of their family who was hurt.

So it applies to all other games. Same treatment.

For the missing stuff this part it was not mainly about this link at all when I spoke about it, pleasevjust read above my previous posts. You joined the convo late. it was just another part of another list, cause like you said CDPR mentionned explicitly work in progress. This one can’t be taken seriously but some guy just pointed out the stuff changed or cut. The other real part contains solid proof with interviews and vids etc which are not part of the work in progress.

Even just for the sake of argument & just to please some who disagree if we don’t compare the game to any other game it has some things which are not acceptable at such level for a supposed next gen open world, that’s all.

I still play the game cause I want to experience the good side of the game again. And I’m hopeful and confident CDPR will manage to get it through. Their reputation is at stakes they said it themselves and acknowlegded it. When I meant the upper management I didn’t speak of the founders but sime top managers. I love CDPR and don’t want them to burn at all. Just getting a reality check. I think they understood.

Wtf an agenda. Lol I couldn’t care less about that. Don’t have anything to do with that from anywhere. Gamefaqs level? speak about going hard when you use such sentence. Hyperbole.

I play it again cause I really liked many parts of the story, the quests, the characters are really charming, the atmosphere the OST which is insanely good, some music tracks are memorable bangers. The game has a big heart and it shows. Shoutout to the quests designers! Pavel Sasko especially!

CDPR has a good game but needs polishing ot make it super great. It is clear it needed more time. I already genuinely praised the game for numerous qualities and will continue to do so. So if it make you happy…

It has good parts even some great among the best I would say which can be taken as an example and some others far less which could be far better as I repeated. If you can’t accept different views carry on like I said.

Even my last post I defend CDPR against a really bad take by even quoting a dev cause I strongly disagree with such a bad take.

And please calm down, cool down and avoid the swearing a bit, would be appreciated. :+1: You seem angry at me and seem to attack me personally and that’s not the type of thing I personally really like. Your post seems highly agressive on a forum just for a videogame. Am I mistaken?

I really like some of you here and prefer to keep good relationships, indeed we have great people on a really good forum, different views here, we’re all different and can disagree on many things but like I said respect is important. Respect above everything. Sorry if anyone has been personally offended. Not my intent to harm anyone here. After all it’s just a game.

Let’s close the subject and maybe come back to a good and healthy discussion, ok? Thanks!

Anyway enough with that and back on topic please.

Great news for players!

@The_Xboxer

I fully understand all your points about the game, good AND bad while also having no issue with your opinion on it but why do you feel the need to post every video, article or tweet about the game? And yeah, I know “every” is an exaggeration but do you do this with other games?

Between post #650 and #703, you have a total of 12 videos, tweets or links to articles about the game, mostly negative and this is really my only issue…your constant need to flood this OT with all of this outside crap that has nothing to do with those who or will play the game and want to talk about it here.

It’s like, I come here into this topic to see what others here have to say about the game, not to see, read or watch every article, tweet or video about the game from those outside of this OT.

Every 4.4 posts between #650 and #703 is from you containing all of this outside crap and it’s like, none of those people are in this topic, none of us can reply to any of it and because of that, all those links and whatnot become completely irrelevant to this OT.

I just don’t know why you have to fill up this OT with all the outside stuff. Why can’t you just continue to post your own opinions, converse with others and leave it at that instead of bringing in all of the outside stuff into this OT?

I have had no issues with you or conversing with you as we’ve done hundreds of times over the last four months but im really hoping that you don’t post all of this outside crap in every game’s OT that you’re interested in because man, that’s going to eliminate the enjoyment of having a discussion about that OT’s respective individual game.

I think you’re clearly misjudging here. And making really big shortcuts. Nothing to do with crapping OTs or doing that with every game etc. Please keep your accusation for yourself.

I disagree about the articles. Just happened due to the release window of the game and my disappointment about some parts of the game, that’s all and had clear relevance with the game cause I played it, finished it and know what I’m talking about. When all will be fixed a ton of related subjects will die down. Doesn’t nullify anything of what I said before at the time.

Why I felt the need? Cause it is Cyberpunk OT and like I already said I just needed to vent my frustration cause I really like the game a lot and I’m sad some parts are not polished enough for a better experience. I repeat it’s the Cyberpunk OT and I can share what’s happening around the game whether it is good or bad. It’s not the “all good things Cyberpunk OT you are forbidden to express anything negative towards the game or you’ll be banned.”

Oh you’re collecting datas now? Not all of my posts are only negative and they are not flood at all. Do you dismiss all the positive stuff I said? Do you see the evil everywhere? You want constant praise, pat in the back everything is perfect and 9/10 non stop right? Sorry to disappoint you then. Maybe I should post a number of posts equal to the ones you dislike and all will be fine then.

Even in the grand scheme of things from all my posts on this forum even my posts about CP2077 related topics outside of that OT there is a low amount of negativity even compared to all my posts. I don’t need to justify that in fact. Keep your stalking out please. Thanks!

I talked about the game and expressed my opinion about it and will continue to do so wether it is positive or negative wether some like it or not, I’m free to say what I think about the game…

Like for you when you say things about other subjects I totally disagree with, I don’t come at you being mad or preventing you from expressing you opinion, or even policing you. Are you forbidding me to express myself under whatever form I want to use?

Some of these videos were just some funny things why you take everything as negative or hostile? Can we not have fun or joke? Is it a dictature of the thinking here? No fun allowed?

I understand you love CDPR and that’s fine if you don’t like some posts here, if it hurts you that’s ok all will be fine just close your eyes. But don’t view everything under the prism of hate or such thing. Let’s leave it at that and stop the off topic. Just keep your agressivity aside. Thanks!

My last post on the subject then after I won’t bother anymore. Peace!

Bonus: Oh look out! A positive video!

Another positive videos batch!

Great attention to details from CDPR!

My issue isn’t with you or your criticisms with the game at all. You can love or hate the game. That’s obviously up to you. Doesn’t matter to me which. My issue is with posting all this outside information when instead you could just post your own opinion regardless of what it is. And yes, I know you have done so including a lot of positivity but with posting so many tweets, articles and videos, if anything, your opinion regardless of what it is gets completely overshadowed by posting all of that other stuff because instead of your opinion being the focus, it’s all the other stuff that becomes the main focus which to me, defeats the purpose of posting your opinion to begin with.

But it’s all good. To each their own. :handshake:

Hi, I noticed some weird small dips/stutter in quality mode on Xbox Series X since patch 1.05, it was a flat line locked 30fps with 1.03 and 1.04, now it’s worse, I can’t understand this kind of things…

It happened a lot with TW3 too, some patch did good things, others made the game worse… So i went on Youtube to try to find some data about 1.05 framerate in quality mode on Series X, and I was right:

I’m really disapointed in this, we had a fantastic version, now it’s kind of ruined for me because of these patchs

I hoped that 1.06 would fix what 1.05 broke… but of course it still the same, no data to prove it yet, but it will come

So i decided to stop playing, if Xbox Series X can’t even play old gen version at a locked 30fps (forget about 60fps, it’s clearly not good either), it doesn’t bode well for the next gen patch…

How is it possible to go from a locked framerate… to a worse one?

I really bothers me!

Happy Xmas everyone!

That’s the point the series x version has no optimisation whatsoever. For CD right now the main goal is to get the last gen version in the best state possible as soon as possible.

I have a quick question, early on in the game, when you meet the Police lady before going in and doing the mission where you’re supposed to retrieve the suitcase with the sentinel bug for Dex, I took her Eddie’s but didn’t use it during the mission.

I assumed the Eddie’s are encrypted cause she made sure to tell me to use the Eddie’s to purchase the suite case. I ended up killing all the people there and just taking the suitcase.

Why can’t I use the Eddies she gave me!!?

Reading through the filing, it seems nearly all of their complaints are based on really basic misunderstandings of terms like ‘content complete’ and what ‘certification’ means. They seem to think they have ‘gotchya’ arguments based on IGN commentary complaining about performance… >.>

They also don’t seem to grasp what optimization means. There are a couple quotes that help their case too, but most of those complaints are not valid in the context of longstanding game development jargon. The discussion from CDP wrt the game being able to release on Nov 19th and not having problems on current gen is clearly being made in the context of certification and not perf/bug optimization, which the CDP guy specifies was still being worked on and issues there persisted.

The element about PSN removing the game is also not well founded, as the claim is that CDP should have known that would happen and then misled investors by not sharing that info. But there are several other games that performed similarly and had similar bugs on PSN in the past that never got removed. So I dunno how CDP would plausibly be positioned to just presume Sony would pull it unless Sony has somehow warned them prior to launch or something.

Yeah I know that, but the fact that they have to fix the game for old gen console doesn’t mean they have to make new gen version worse?

Sometimes a fix can lead to new bugs.

Finished my first playthrough a couple of days ago.

Obviously spoilers below.

I played V as a Nomad. Romance with Panam. Let Johnny “take the wheel” to talk with Rogue & play one last gig. So my choices at the end were, ask Panam for help, let Johnny take over or meet with Hanako. The first two choices made sense to me, so I tried them both & I quite liked how they ended the game.

I thought the main storyline was very good, but surprisingly short in the end. Liked the characters, but didn’t feel like I got to spend enough time with any of them, except maybe Judy & obviously Johnny.

Night City was hugely disappointing, in my opinion. A very pretty background that I moved through to get to each quest, but not a place that felt in any way alive or interesting.

Gameplay was fun enough. I played it as a shooter & did enjoy myself. More than a few guns to choose from that felt great to use. Will try a stealthy hacker next time.

All told, I think it was a disappointing, but fun game. It wasn’t what I had been looking forward to, but I did manage to enjoy what it actually is. I hope we get at least one good expansion after they’re done with the fixes & patches.

After 60+ hours I slowed down a bit, getting addicted to Immortals in the meantime, heh. The OCD completionist in me wants to complete all side activities, but I wish they were more varied and, in general, the actual open world had things worth exploring and doing. Most shops sell terrible things, NPCs are irrelevant, cops are bad filler, most side hustles involve killing a couple gang members or infiltrating a base. The actual “voiced” side stories are great, with Judy, Panam and the others receiving lovely stories, but coming from the mini-puzzles and amazing mysteries of Valhalla, this game’s side content definitely feels lacking.

I think games with side quests in general should reconsider how that content is surfaced to players. Most densely packed, open world games feel inflated with filler content. Makes completing games thoroughly feel like an overwhelming chore and some ppl straight up just can’t bring themselves to jump in in the first place. I really hope devs start thinking on how to serve up side stuff in ways where it can feel well paced. Cyberpunk at least splits the gigs off from the real side quests.

I’ll be honest, I tend to avoid sidequests these days. I’ve been burnt on so many fetch quests and useless filler. I love FO4, but by the fifth “settlement in need of my help” I just had had enough. I like to do the main story and I will do companion sidequests.

I agree, less but more meaningful side quests should be the way to go. I have been playing Valhalla for 50 hs, the world is beautiful and all, but the amount of those small side quests is so massive and kinda tiresome tbh. You feel you are doing them solely to level up, there is almost no context with the main story.

Yeah it can be tough for me to pass stuff up. I can see the need for so many quests on the one hand, but maybe there can be smarter ways to surface them or sequence them out or something. The other thing is that many of these smaller quests do actually have well done stories to them, but players ignore that because we are too bored with the setup so we just kinda glaze our eyes over and go through the motions. I wonder if it would be better to just cut a bunch of that stuff and save it for DLC tbh. Give ppl a chance to move beyond the rest of the game/story/world and actually want to dive into the content.

I don’t know what people are talking about, the side quests (not even including gigs) are extremely good in this game and I’m surprised about how much depth they have for not even being part of the main campaign. And that’s part of the charm sometimes, you don’t want every quest to tie in to a grand narrative of the main campaign, sometimes its cool to have self contained small stories and adventures that show other characters and ideas and even you undergoing some great character building in the process. Most of the Panam quest line is side quests, and they have been pretty engaging to me and feel like I’ll genuinely miss these characters and moments once I finish that line and have to get back to the main campaign.
