Cyberpunk 2077 |OT| It feels like it's taken 2077 years for this game to release (and might take another 2077 years for it to be fixed)

Yes, day one patch was already included. Below twitter chain explains the day 0 patch and day 1 patch are the same thing. 1.0.0.6 is the latest version on Xbox.

Yeah, still apparently some bugs, but that’s to be expected. I’m going to try it out myself this weekend and see if I want to wait for the true nextgen upgrade.

I am going to be honest, I am playing in performance mode and though it is smooth, it makes the game look a bit dated and kind of ugly.

I like 60fps but I don’t like the visuals currently. :joy:

Also, I am slightly disappointed at the character creation. I wanted my character to be thick like me…but I don’t get that option

I watched Tom Warrens video on my TV of the game running on series X and thought it looked really good in both modes. Weird that those playing it aren’t so happy.

I am playing it on a LG Oled BX, there is some noticiable dynamic scaling going on especially when looking the mirror. The game looks dated. I am not sure how esle to explain it. I am going to mess with my tv setting later on today, to see if I can improve the image.

It does not look horrible, but so far, even with all its jankiness, I think AC:V looks a tad bit better. (I know its not as dense and detailed).

I agree. Have the same TV and it honestly looks like a last gen game running at 60fps. Which it probably is so, yeah.

Definitely expected a bit more from this to be honest, especially on Series X. The game itself is topnotch though.

How does it look in performance mode? Significantly more blurry than quality mode or not that bad? I will always be a ducker for great visuals first unless the visual difference is so neglible like AC Valhalla. Then I go performance mode.

Looks clean to me but about to play more

So is the texture quality supposed to be this bad on SX? It looks terrible. Almost like a bug to be honest. The textures on some objects (trash and everyday objects, cans, products in storefronts/vending machines) look nonexistent or are on the lowest of low quality possible.

If so I haven’t been paying attention is it pre patch?

Yeah some stuff is very low res and blurry. Definitely keen to see what the next gen patch brings to the table. Either way I’m in day one, can’t wait to jump back into night city.

Watched the Digital Foundry preview. PC Version has 5 different Ray Tracing Effects.

  1. Ray Traced Reflections
  2. Ray Traced Shadows
  3. Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion
  4. Ray Traced Direct Lighting (emissives)
  5. Ray Traced Global Illumination

I was already going to wait for the next gen upgrade for Xbox Series X even though I was probably just check out the game and mess around with just the prologue but now, fuck that, im 100% waiting for the full next gen upgrade from CDPR.

Don’t know how much if any of the above they will add in but still, it’s worth waiting for regardless of what they end up adding into the game via the next gen upgrade in 2021.

My guess is what they add will be very limited compared to PC and limited to 30FPS.

Probably but it will be interesting to see what CDPR can pull off.

This footage (XBO base I believe; pre-patch) has the TAA going bonkers.

It looks like a baby version of a quantum break stutter, haha.

Those glitching visual effects are intentional its part of a quest. The bad framerate however is not intentional.

This game on Series S is definitely 30fps and the resolution seems to be 900p. Very disappointing but i understand that it’s running the One S version.
