Crisis Core: FF7 Reunion Announced (coming this Winter to Xbox)

Time for MS to triple down on Persona/Sega I reckon :philwins:

I wanna know what Switch fans feel not getting Yakuza, Persona, or mainline FF :skull:

to be fair, it would be a monumental task getting those games to run on the switch. and nobody wants a cloud port.

Lol, Square continues to not make any sense to me.

Aren’t most of them literally PS3 games? Outside FF

Switch can’t run PS3 games confirmed! /s

Ark 2. 40 million player. 20 million copies.

I actually prefer Xbox to keep buying studios and making their games exclusive forever. Timed deals are worthless.

i’m not saying the switch can’t run them, but i imagine it’s a lot of leg work, time, and money when devs have other projects.

Just think that Atlus now almost makes sense when compared to SE. :phil_lmao:

Previously it seemed like Atlus was a much farther reach than Square, oh we were wrong lol

Get the superior RPG series. don’t care if its on ps5 as well. MS should make sure that game comes to Xbox day 1. Doesn’t need to be gamepass just make sure Xbox players can play it day 1.

Persona 6 will be better than both of those games combined.

Seriously, Atlas of all developers porting mainline Persona everywhere, while Square Enix locks its ubiquitous Final Fantasy cashcow to one console, is not a trading of places I would have imagined last gen.

Microsoft needs an internal JRPG studio to make AAA JRPGs like Lost Odyssey. They can’t rely on Square Enix anymore, the FF mainline games will never hit Xbox.

Stop making me want to re-install Lost Odyssey! I have the disk(s) around here somewhere.

Its been stated numerous times that Horii owns the rights to his IP, Dragon Quest. His company, Armor Project, just has a publishing contract with Square. Square owns nothing of the IP.

Legit curious if Sony paid Balan Wonderworld to be on their service. I know it’s not in topic, but it is based on Sony and Square’s relationship.

Having a first party JRPG studio could be cool and all but it’s not gonna be a replacement to FF. Plus, it’s so unlikely and complicated anyways

Thank God the only things I bought from Square Enix in the past 10 years are FF15, Nier Automata and Replicant. I didn’t buy many things from them because their games don’t interest me, for the most part, but now they’ll never see a single cent from me ever again.

It’s a start. There is a reason Sony is investing in WRPGs from unknown studios (KOTR Remake) because it’s a gap in their lineup. Ignoring the hole makes no sense.

MS will have to buy 1 of the big Japanese studio cause there no way they can start a JRPG studio from scratch
