Yeah I saw and unfortunately that doesn’t give me much confidence it’ll be supported.
On that list Redfall was AMD sponsored and had both, so It’s likely that while Bethesda isn’t going to announce DLSS, it could be there on launch. Time will tell.
Then we have Halo Infinite with AMD sponsorship disappointing with including nothing.
I thought this was an exclusive partnership judging from how some of the wording around this has been.
I’m sure there was some level of partnership when it came to optimizing this game for the Series consoles. So some level of optimization that is exclusive to AMD hardware seems like a logistical reality.
But I can’t say I agree with the potential of an exclusion of Nvidia features that could greatly benefit the performance of the game. We’ll see how it pans out.
I hoping the wording is more, they’re announcing the game with Amd features and not mentioning Nvidia at all because of their partnership. But DLSS would be there without Bethesda ever mentioning it.
It’s exciting to hear about AMD’s exclusive partnership with Bethesda Softworks and their involvement in making Starfield possible. The collaboration between AMD engineers and Bethesda is aimed at optimizing performance for AMD’s current line of processors and graphics cards, benefiting both PC and Xbox players. With the implementation of FSR2 image processing and other enhancements in Creation Engine 2, Starfield is expected to deliver an enhanced gaming experience. While the partnership brings several advantages, it’s worth noting that the absence of Nvidia’s DLSS upscaling feature may be a trade-off for players with Nvidia GPUs. Overall, it’s intriguing to see how this collaboration will shape the future of Starfield and potentially impact Elder Scrolls 6 as well.
Totally called it, you get Starfield with purchase of an AMD gpu, processor or some pre-built pcs for the next couple months. The newest ones get you the premium edition. I think that plus the extra 50 off the sapphire pulse at Newegg, I might go for it.
