Actually saw that I’d missed the last episode in the third season lmao, so I had to go back, watch that, brush up once more in all this Eldian history, lineage, family trees and all that shit cuz this got way too complex to remember all of it before coming back and watching the first episode. Now I’m completely armed and ready for this season. Mappa is a good choice to handle too, their 3D is easily some of the best I’ve seen in anime if not the best, especially at blending with 2D seamlessly. And this episode was pretty good in those respects and setting up this monstrous finale.

You can’t spoil me but remember that people might haven’t watch it yetšŸ˜… better mark in Spoiler. I’m always in for a discussion.

No season 4 spoilers in there haha, just mentioned how the studio doing the season is a good choice. but I get you, won’t spoil anything if it comes to that in the future.:+1:

Opinon on the Opening ?

as in, opening music or scene?

Overall:D

I was told the way the war is presented in the first episode is very realistic, the author of AOT clearly has watched a lot documentation about WW2

oh yeah, and sorry for no response to the previous question. I thought it was a good opening. Very intrigued with how the kid saw memories of flying with a sword, and Gabi is gonna be a treat lol, probably both good and bad ways. Some of the CG was a bit iffy but nothing to lose sleep over, I’m just glad I’m not part of any ā€œfandomsā€ who are plastered on to anime and manga forums seething over everything and getting worried about these things, so there’s some comfort there. And there seems to be definitely a lot of real military tactics used, I applaud them for that. Can’t wait for episode 2 now. I heard shit’ bout to get even more intense.

Incidentally, it sucks but I went on youtube and it recommended me some AOT video, and I knew I shouldn’t have checked the comments but I did and got hit with a spoiler, the video wasn’t even S4 related but you know how it goes, shit sucks but yeah lesson learned.

Any Hetalia fans? My niece got me into that one. Also asked for Manga style books from the first season of Sherlock for a holiday present.

Never ever look in comments under a AOT video NEVER I have the luxury that I read very far and probably know everything that will happen in this season but even I avoid any comment section it is dangerous.

For the next couple episode don’t expect action. It will be more political and has a lot character building. If there is one thing this show told me: there is no define evil, everyone is.

oh don’t worry, I like the politics and lore side of AOT a lot more than the action, the action imo simply exists as a facade to all the grand mess going around haha. Just when I thought the series was getting stale back in early S3, it suddenly opened up to just sooo much lore and history and internal turmoil, it’s crazy. Like watching S1 back in early 2010s, I wouldn’t have thought this show would keep getting better or evolve beyond this super gore dark high octane action anime about big naked bodies fighting each other, but here we are.

and yeah, regarding this, I read a very good comment: In the world of AOT, there are no good or bad people, there’s simply people who are either alive or dead.
