Phil has already publicly committed to honoring the deal so it’ll look weird but that’s gonna be the reality. The same way they had 2 first party games releasing exclusively on PS5, they’re going to have a COD game that they wholly own getting DLC first on Playstation.
Maybe. But if I’m not mistaken Activision hasn’t put a single game on Game Pass in its 5 years of existence so they might not find that clause all that restrictive.
I think they go back to the table for Day 1 on CoD 2023.
Deathloop had no Xbox version at that time because of exclusivity. We’re talking about a game that’s probably in a decent state of Dev right now that has an Xbox version that will be released same time as the PS5 version.

Only question is Game Pass during the transition period I assume. After that it’s time for a lot of casuals to buy an Xbox! Might even have sorted out the supply issues by then

Was anyone even expecting CoD to not release this year and next year on Playstation?
MS have no say on what happens this year and the deal might not even finalise till halfway through next year and we already know from the Bethesda deal + Phil’s recent comments that they honor the deals in place
This year’s and next years CoD being on PS was a certainty, its after that, that it gets juicy
As for gamepass im not expecting it for CoD this year, maybe next year if Sony dont have some shitty clause in place, otherwise 2024 will probably be the first year it happens

They can’t communicate any plans to Activision-Blizzard to affect change until after the acquisition is approved and closed. So they can do all the planning they want internally but won’t have any near term impact on games in development.
