Nice! Well… I’m knee-deep in AC Syndicate, haha so mucg for next-gen… But I will fire up lots of games just to be in awe, like Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves, Gears 5 etc. Might start Gears Tactics though if it wins the poll!
Probably a mix of Planet Coaster, Falconeer and Gears Tactics.
Planet Coaster and Tetris will probably make me forget about Assassin’s Creed And I’m getting them for “free” while I paid a ridiculous amount of money for AC
The ‘curse’ of Xbox Game Pass Even better when games you bought but didn’t play yet comes to Game Pass hehe.
Like previously announced, whoever has the most GamerScore in the featured game of the month will earn 100 points. If two or more people share the same amount of GamerScore in said game, they will all get the 100 points.
Gears Tactics is a 80-100h hours completion, so it will be fun to see who nets the most GamerScore in it! Friendly reminder: 400g were added to the game after the free Series X|S optimization patch, so there is actually 1400g to go after this month!
This Sunday, after I post the current week’s results, a new poll will go live to decide what December’s Featured Game will be. The options must fulfill the following criteria:
- It must be a new game released in December;
- It must be available on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S;
- It must be released day one on Game Pass.
For now, let’s all play Gears Tactics!
Happy hunting!
Assassin’s Creed, Tetris, Gears Tactics, Destiny 2… too much to play even without Halo.
Stranger Thing 3 The game almost done, probably tomorrow. It’s an okay game, should be more balanced in some parts. Might start Grim Fandango or go back and do some achievement clean up. I am probably going to suck it up and continue playing the games I have that require 2 playthroughs and I’ll check out Gears Tactics.
You will all regret not voting for Tetris. This game is incredible and insanely addictive!
Nah. I did it on purpose. I wanna play Tactics now on my current Xbox. I’ll play tetris in 60fps next year when I get the Series X
This adds so much fun to the regular gaming, great initiative!
In other news, my Series X is now just a couple hours away from my house! They move fast through Europe.
I don’t think I’ll have time for Tactics at all this month. Oh well. Good luck to everyone
Talos Principle leaves Game Pass, so that. And of cource Gears Tactics, Dirt5, Falconeer and Yakuza on Series X.
AC Valhalla and Bright Memory, I missed alot of games this gen so may go back to some older stuff as well. Hoping there’s no issues with unlocking XB1 achievements on the XSX though, these things tend to happen with platform changes.
Well, it seems I will not be getting my Series X today. Delivery estimate is tomorrow.
I played a bit of Planet Coaster and managed to get 200g pretty easily. I’m thinking about getting Bright Memory and Evergate because they are pretty cheap.
Ouch that sucks… Ah well, a day goes by fast!
It’s worth it though…what an awesome machine!
That seems odd. Has anyone at Microsoft addressed this? I was also under the impression that the contest was for most GamerScore during the three weeks.
My Series X is here! I’m loving how stupidly fast it downloads everything and the loading times are indeed out of this world!
I played A LOT of Tetris Effect while I awaited for the delivery. Managed to unlock 235g. I got 200g on Planet Coaster and also finished the career in Dirt 5. Now I’m going to dive deep into Valhalla!
(and maybe check out Bright Memory later. And maybe Yakuza and DMC. Too many games…)
I don’t think they’ve said anything about winners. Yeah I think that is what everyone thought, going by the comments on TA, the Game Pass Ruler was also misleading/unclear.
Completion #90: Bright Memory
- Estimated Difficulty: 2/10
- Estimated Time: 2-3 hours
Here it is: my first Series X completion! Bright Memory: Infinite got my attention when it was first announced during one of those Xbox events this year. Bright Memory is some kind of a prologue/demo of the game (something like what Ground Zeroes was for Metal Gear V), and as it was decently priced I decided to give it a go.
To be quite honest, I was a bit disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, it is an incredible game and it is amazing how only one person worked on this. But I found the gameplay to be clunky and counterintuitive. It gets a bit better when you get more skills, but I don’t think I’ll get the full game when it releases next year.
Achievements-wise it is a very easy completion. You do have to finish it three times, but the game is so short you can get every achievement in 2 hours or so.
Castle of No Escape has also been updated to 2000G. Takes 3 minutes. 1000G to go up 6 floors.
