Most people (on TA) seem to use the cheats to get a quicker completion. But it’s definitely fun enough to do it “properly,” in my opinion. To each their own, of course.

Don’t know why they didn’t remaster it, though. The gameplay is fun, but the graphics look every bit as old as they are.

Like a Dragon Giaden

I planned on clearing some of my backlog in anticipation of playing Persona 3 Reload but ended up getting addicted to Like a Dragon Giaden instead. Also became the first Yakuza game I’ve 100% completed. Started playing Like a Dragon now… Guess I’ll play Persona 3 after that now.

Achievements wise it wasn’t too bad. Some take a lot of grinding. One achievement that requires you to play a game of pool and do a trick shot, problem is it seems broken and completely based on luck.

I actually really enjoyed the recruiting and fighting part of the end game. Stupid fun.

Skylar and Plux: Adventure on Clover Island

Like one of those budget PS2 platformers you’d find for 50p in the back of a charity shop.

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I was hoping, but I still had fun with it. The story was good (though predictable), the characters were fun, and the game is gorgeous (especially the actual animations from Studio Ghibli), but the combat was never really that engaging, and the achievements were a grind. Still, I’d recommend it to any JRPG fan that hasn’t played it, especially while it’s still on Game Pass.

I enjoyed this one much more than I was expecting

It’s a bit rough, with a few finicky achievements, but overall it’s a fun game. Unique guns, decent variety of enemies, gorgeous environments, and a story that reminds me of Bioshock, but in the USSR. I love Bioshock, so that alone probably would have made me enjoy the game. Easy recommendation for anyone else that likes similar games.

Not for me. My problem is that AC Valhalla is too big. I even took a break from it. Still need to clear the 3 story and rogue lite DLC.

Not me, though it does have me a bit nervous. I’ve seen journalists say the Xbox ecosystem will be fine, but I don’t care abut the Xbox ecosystem, I care about the Xbox console. I don’t want to game on PC, I don’t want to game on mobile, I don’t want to game on a handheld, I want to game on my Xbox. If they end up putting too many exclusives elsewhere I fear they’ll lose enough market share that third-party publishers will abandon them like they did in the Xbox One era, and that is gonna suck. Guess we’ll find out next week when they make an official statement.

But if you’re nervous about losing your achievement stats if Xbox were to shut down (it won’t), Exophase can immortalise them for you. It’s a cross-platform achievement tracker (and where my Stadia achievements live on.)

Achievements are the main reason I like Xbox so as long as they still exist I’ll keep on chasing gamerscore.

If gamerscore ever goes away somehow then I’ll have a lot less motivation to play video games.

So took me 30 mins to grind some ingot to make a sword with light but gave it to Roland who with the other stuff I got from dungeon runs had like a damage of 2200 (stats) so that worm just died lol

The stupid guy that jumps around with swords wrecked me more then the worm lol

I absolutely loved Ark, so this game was right up my alley. It’s a bit rough, which makes sense given it’s in Early Access/Game Preview, but I didn’t have too many bugs that others complain about a lot (I also only played single-player, so maybe that helped a bit). The base-building is a lot of fun (except that the giant gate refuses to snap to my giant wall), the world is huge and fun to explore, the Pal catching is enjoyable, and the combat is decent to good. It’s an easy recommendation for anyone who likes Ark (or any other similar game) and/or wants more Pokemon-esque games (except my sister-in-law, who gets sad every time she sees me hitting Pals with an axe). Very interested to see how this one evolves over time.
