I don’t know if I will do a no death run for the last 2 achievements. Seems not totally impossible but right now i have a very good impression and don’t want to be frustrated with the game.

The changes were made to Xbox Requirement, XR-055 Achievements and Gamerscore, and its test fail examples with the following line added to the XR’s definition: “All achievements represent a thorough exploration of or engagement with game content .”

However, more significantly, Microsoft has also added three new fail examples to XR-055:

* All achievements can be unlocked within a few minutes of starting the game

• Achievements do not represent a thorough exploration of or engagement with game content
• Achievements can be unlocked without any (or minimal) user input unless required as part of the core gameplay loop

It will be interesting to see if anything actually changes. I do wonder if they are also looking into making the achievement system more engaging and given it a much needed refresh to go with the new dash.

Glad that you’re enjoying this one (I am too), but I really don’t get the hate that Somerville gets. I definitely didn’t think it was as good as Limbo or Inside, but I still really enjoyed the game.

To post a bit of a personal story… I started a new job in 2008/2009. At the time I hadn’t been deep into video games for a few years, but was anticipating Final Fantasy XIII. I was planning on picking up a PS3 when FF13 came out, just because I had a PSX and PS2 but had never owned an Xbox console. Anyway, my boss at this new job was heavily into Xbox and actually gave me a beat up old 360 to take home just so he would have someone to play Halo with. So it was totally by chance that I ended up with an Xbox 360 instead of a PS3 at that time. And once I got a taste of gamerscore, that was it… I was an Xbox fan and achievement hunter for life.

That’s a great story! It’s funny how little things can have a big impact on our lives. I can relate - I was planning on buying a Nintendo Wii a few years ago, but then a friend persuaded me to buy an Xbox instead. It was the best decision I ever made as I’ve since become an avid gamer and I’m loving it!

Yeah I think it’s because they’re sold as a bundle on the Xbox store. TA uses the store API to get the cover art and it finds D2 from the bundle. I’m not completing D2 anytime soon judging by that list.

Do we have a plan for when we’re going to do the poll for June’s game of the month? If the showcase were earlier in the month I could see waiting for that, but there are already a bunch of games being added this month so I’m not sure if we should wait or if we should do the poll now and plan for any potential surprises for next month.
