Okay, otherwise I know there’s already been a bunch of games announced for May. Redfall (2nd), Ravenlok (4th), Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 (11th), Amnesia: The Bunker (23rd), Cassette Beasts (25th), Railway Empire 2 (25th), and Farworld Pioneers (30th) have all already been announced.
Took a break from my Switch to finally play the two DLC. 2 new worlds and 1 challenge mode. Thanks to assist mode I could finish the challenge mode otherwise it would be almost impossible.
I’m finally free from this game. Having to play each game twice was pretty annoying. Once on Easy and Hard. Only difference is on hard you cant zoom out with Y. Bad platformer cause of the controls and there are too many leap of faith jumps and for the first 2 games retrying a level is so annoying cause it has to do the level name animation. At least with the first 2 you can kinda cheat some levels by getting to the objective by some jumps but it was fixed in the 3rd game.
Quick and fun hack n’ slash adventure based on the classic Alice in Wonderland. Bug free and easy achievements with gameplay that appeals to every age. Nothing spectacular but a fun 4 hour playthrough.
I quite enjoyed Pod racing back on the N64 and it still surprisingly holds up. I played it start to finish and then cleaned up the last of the achievements using the cheat menu.
Soul collecting addiction! This honestly felt like a Crackdown game to me with the same kill, collect, repeat loop. Had a blast but I’ve had my fill for the time being, May come back to it eventually.
I really wanted to like this game more than I did. It’s absolutely gorgeous and was described as a Cthulu-esque Metroidvania, but damn if it wasn’t frustrating. A lot of the puzzles make sense (even if they’re kinda hard), but some of them seemed like the only good way to complete them was to either guess until you got it right, look up a solution, or use the Auto Solve option. The game was incredibly buggy, with some mechanics ::cough:: triple jump ::cough:: taking multiple tries to get in most cases, and in some cases just not working, it crashed regularly making the terrible auto-save even more terrible (a friend lost over 4 hours of playtime due to two crashes), some achievements were bugged at launch, and in some spots you could just get stuck in a death loop requiring you to force quit the game (which, again, sucked more than normal due to the auto-save sucking). The story I think could have been interesting, but it ended up being a million video game tropes all jammed together haphazardly.
It wasn’t too long (12-15 hours) and it does have some good difficulty options, including the previously mentioned Auto Solve, and it being on Game Pass means I still might recommend this to people that really love Eldridge horror settings and/or Metroidvanias, but be warned that it’s going to be a rough experience.
