Finally got around to beating this game almost a year after I started it and am happy I did. It is a fun and challenging beat em up where you and the enemies, Excluding boss fights and a one special type of enemy, are all one hit kills. With nothing but your fists and whatever the hell is lying around you have to make you way through each level with only a few checkpoints along the way. It’s a fun and somewhat challenging game that punishes you for trying to button mash your way through any given area, so you really have to pay attention to the types of enemies and the available weapons in each section. All in all is is a very fun game with just the right amount of difficulty to be a decent challenge but not too much where it becomes frustrating, and it’s not a super long game either. It sticks around long enough to still be fun as you’re mopping up the remaining achievements after the initial playthrough of the game. If you want to play it though I recommend starting it soon as it’s closing in on the one year mark in game pass next month and likely won’t be there much longer.
Had some fun with this one. It has a nostalgic, '90s anime kind of vibe. I didn’t enjoy the combat (probably my own fault, I couldn’t get the catch timing down for the life of me), but luckily there are cheats that speed it up greatly. Banged it out just in time.
Man was I surprised by how much I actually enjoyed this gem of a game! When this game was first shown off I didn’t take much note of it, and even less so when it got the extended look at the Xbox showcase in June. I had mostly wrote it off at the time and boy did As Dusk Falls prove me wrong. The story is so griping, it just sinks its hooks right into you leaving you at the edge of your seat at times and it’s constantly taking twists and turns that keep you on your toes. It’s made even better, in my opinion, when you’re playing it in multiplayer with a big group of friend. I can not recommended it enough to you to try playing it with friends or family as it just makes the overall experience that much more fun and memorable. The game’s art style might be a little off putting at first for some people but don’t let that dissuade you from giving the game a chance, it really feels like something special especially when playing in a group.
Finally free from the cursed DLC. The 1,000 miles in Jimmy’s Vendetta i know you can idle it via a glitch. Still takes crazy amount of time for 10G. I find the DLC harder on Easy than the Base game on hard.
Raji has quite good art and i like to experience games from different cultures we dont see often in gaming. But this was a miss. ‘Puzzles’ are piss easy, combat sucked and had some weird lag and the last boss was infuriating even on easy difficulty. Doesn’t help i’m not very good with hack & slash games.
What a time difference So quick when you skip cutscenes and know where everything is. Cbox One version i played twice cause i missed some collectibles the first time
They were both on sale for $15 and just bit the bullet. I would only recommend it if you like the old school B tier games. Nothing spectacular but it has a certain charm to it. You can do 1K in 1 playthrough for each version. There’s no level select so need all collectibles in one run, side quests. There is 2 endings but those pop before the level ends so you can just restart the last level to grab both achievements.
Fitting that such a great game would be my 100th completion! I really, really, really, really loved this game. I don’t know how it got me so hooked, but damn… that was hook, line and sinker for sure. I found it incredibly satisfying and relaxing to play, listening to podcasts and just clean all the shit away; in-game and in-head so to speak.
I hope they release a stupendous amount of DLC, because I want more! The possibilities are endless.

Options were light this month as a couple of the new additions were games that have been out for a few years (Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Cooking Simulator) and the rest were PC only. There might be more additions later, but for now this is what we have. This poll will stay up for roughly 48 hours, so be sure to vote!
Not going to lie, this first wave of games this month is a little meh. Not bad, but would have loved to see more options. Gotta play the cards you’re given I guess.
