The smartest fix is this:

  1. only count percentages for those who have unlocked at least 1 achievement
  2. make rare achievements 5% unlocked rate instead of the current 10% rare
  3. add an “ultra rare” achievement for any achievement with less than 1% completion rate.

Current system just means you unlock nothing but rares because of gamepass.

This was a very different game then I’m used to, to say the least. Gameplay, if you want to call it that, is minimal and is mostly just searching for and watching videos, YouTube simulator :rofl:. It was pretty meh for me overall with the built in solitaire mini game the most enjoyable part of the game, which isn’t saying much, but it’s not a bad game by any means it’s just not my cup of tea. If you enjoy mystery and conspiracy theories this game is likely right up your ally, or just a quick 1000G, whichever floats your boat.

Can you imagine if they did this, then had a separate pop-up for completing a game (and a badge on your profile)?!?

Yeah…

  • More steps on the “rarity ladder”.

  • Completion badge/trophy.

  • Separation of game and DLC’s.

This would be a very good start. There are other things that should be adressed somehow like GS inflation, rewards etc. of course.

Sure but it’s a solid foundation that adds most of what people want. I feel like the achievement community at large has moved to trophies. I also think Xbox first party is bad at making good Achievement lists.

What makes you say they have moved to trophies? I have no insight into the “community” really.

Anytime you look up guides they seem to always be trophy guides and it seems like the Xbox exclusives are hard to find achievement guides for sometimes.

Does true achievements/xbox achievements not do achievement guides anymore? I remember in the 360 gen it felt like every game had an achievement guide. Nowadays i have to use psnprofiles because they have all the guides.

Xboxachievements still does guides, but most people moved to Playstation as their main console and psnprofile is the better site. And for Xbox gamers they moved to Trueachievements and made walkthroughs. I don’t think TA ever had guides.

Both sites are still active and post guides (walkthroughs at TA and roadmaps at XboxAchievements). I get the sense that XBA doesn’t see a lot of activity these days and most of the audience has migrated to TrueAchievements.

Xbox achievements was my go-to site in the 360 era but true achievements is so much better now.

Yeah I used to spend a ton of time on that site. They did a total site redesign at some point, I couldn’t find anything, and I just stopped using it and moved to TA. Looking now it seems a lot of other people did the same.
