Saw on Twitter today that the servers for both Fuse and Agents of Mayhem were shut down earlier this year, making a couple of achievements discontinued. Luckily I had both of those completed already. They join the ranks of Fable Anniversary and Child of Light where if you didn’t already have the discontinued achievement, it’s now impossible to get the completion.

What achievements in Child of Light are impossible to get now? I have the 1000G in that one.

The one where you gift a gem to someone on your friends list. The actual servers went down years ago, but I think until last year it was possible to pop the achievement by attempting to send the gem when your console was offline, but then even that trick stopped working.

Interesting because according to true achievements someone got the 100% completion a week ago. I can’t even remember there being an online component to the game lol!

Well yeah as long as you already have the discontinued one you’re good. I was able to complete Fable last year but only because I already popped See the Future back in 2014.

Oh that’s true, didn’t consider that. Discontinued achievements is a fun little thing. Fable anniversary had the smartglass integration achievement, what a nightmare lol!

That achievement is still a raw nerve for a lot of people. Just check the forum on TA if you want to see people swearing to boycott the Fable reboot over it.

…Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy 1000/1000 Fun game and an easy thousand, but you basically have to play with guide in hand, which is a shame. Normally my preference with this kind of game would be to do a blind playthrough for enjoyment first, then mop up collectibles etc. in New Game + or chapter select. But for what I can gather, the game is really glitchy, and if you try to use chapter select to go back for missables, not only do they not count, but it can reset the counter on the collectibles you already have, making achievements unobtainable until you delete all your saves and start completely over.

I started this today and made sure to have a collectibles guide on hand for that reason, as you say it’s a shame because it’s nice to do a story playthrough without worrying about missables.

Resident Evil games always have such particular achievement lists lol! Multiple playthroughs and speedruns are almost always necessary.

Completion #84: Firewatch

This was a good game, albeit not as good as I had been told… Love a good mystery and the exploration was nice. Enjoyed the dialogues and banter between Henry and Delilah! The ending was a bit meh though, wasn’t it?

Game definitely wasn’t as good as I’d hoped but still a very enjoyable experience and an easy 1000G.

Anyone’s Xbox been acting up lately? Yesterday (or maybe the day before) every time I tried to launch a game I got the “You don’t own this” message, and today I’m getting the “This took too long to open” message. I’ve tried rebooting and doing a full shutdown multiple times, to no avail. I just wanna play my games!

Anyone’s Xbox been acting up lately? Yesterday (or maybe the day before) every time I tried to launch a game I got the “You don’t own this” message, and today I’m getting the “This took too long to open” message. I’ve tried rebooting and doing a full shutdown multiple times, to no avail. I just wanna play my games!

Update: I can’t even open the Settings menu anymore to do a full shutdown, I just get a message saying it can’t be opened. I’m really, really hoping my Xbox isn’t just dead at this point.
