Achievement Hunting |OT| Every point counts

Achievements are not hidden for every game for me in the Xbox App for PC, only for some. But i can see no pattern.

That way when you look at someone’s gamescore you’d have a better idea if they’ve been cheesing easy achievements or really been putting time into harder completions. Yes you could have 200,000 gamerscore but if it’s mostly coming from easy completions then you’ll have a bronze or silver coloured gamerscore.

rare achievements should be changed from less than 10% to less than 5%. I unlock rare achievements so often, especially with gamepass games that it doesn’t exactly feel special.

there should be a “100%” section when viewing a friends achievements to get a quick view of what games they’ve 100%. I have 74 completions but theres no way to show them off unless someone spends the time to scroll all the way through the hundreds of games i played

I agree with most of this. I booted up my 360 recently and totally forgot that they got the 100% complete list right in the first place but removed it with the Xbox one.

I do think both MS and Sony should consider stricter rules for Achievements and Trophies to slow the tide of shovelware games.

Games like Avatar were a huge meme back in the day because it was fairly unique to have a game that easy unlock everything.

I think Microsoft should really consider a overhaul of the system because Gamescore is one of those things that will keep people in your ecosystem.

Another very nice little Game Pass game I would never have discovered without the service! A cozy, satisfying little game with a very interesting way of telling a story. If you enjoy sorting things this is great

Was about to say, but that should just be the hardcore. I think there are a lot of more casual achievement enjoyers out there, in fact I know of several so it should be a lot.

Of everyone I know in real life who plays Xbox, only one other person cares about gamerscore at all. Most of them have 10+ year accounts and like 5-10k gamerscore.

For me it was the same as you, as soon as I unlocked my first few achievements it was like… Yeah. This is the stuff.

Completion #75 Minecraft

You can enter realms and unlock achievements much easier that way so I didn’t do it the true way. I’d say it may take 2-4 hours depending on how many achievements you’re missing.

Completion #81: DEEEER Simulator.

Ridiculous, stupid, crazy and fun. Game Pass strikes again with the odd little games, this is the most stupid game I’ve played this year but it was fun while it lasted.

I’ll be on vacation for a week and a half, and while I won’t get much time, I’ll definitely be giving xCloud a shot at least some during that time. Downside is I already have a Razer Kishi that I used on my Pixel 5, but the camera bar on the Pixel 6 makes it not fit in the controller anymore, so I have to bring a real Xbox controller with if I want to game. Lame.
