It does not need a radical change. It just needed some technical polish on the pop ins and to ship with Ray Tracing and it will look great.

^^This. Though I do wish they’d consider adding hair to brutes and tweaking the look of the hex columns. I kinda miss the old school AR design too personally. Oh, and they should lower the damn reticule!

The pop in was weird and only a glitch for me. When you are on top of the elevator the pop in on the mountains happens, but if you move around it pops out, and pops in again. This isn’t coming from a bandwidth or GPU performance strain. Its a bug.

I agree it was a just a clitch, but it should have been spotted since this wasn’t a LIVE demo or being played LIVE. I mean really the PR team should have gone over that demo quite a few times to make sure there wasn’t any bugs

NX Gamer believed in this incerdible complotist theory against PS5, I had hard time to believe it, so I asked him… He moved the goalpost then when asking again, he never answered…

He really thought that what Dusk or Jeff Grub said, was a complot over Sony and PS5, and pepole “should ask themselves” why “all of sudden” there were all these PS5 “bad news”…

I kept the discussion, just in case but he didn’t delete anything, it’s still online.

The gameplay looked ok, but it really looked poor graphically. Pop in, poor textures, no effects such as tyre tracks in mud etc.

The foliage culling and pop-in is unlikely to be a bug and is a bandwidth saving trick. Things like that need to also be addressed.

…me reason it showed better frame rate, or better resolution etc on the PS5 version, 99% of people would accept it as fact and then turn their attention onto why it was so. If that same post was done on SonyGAF or ResetSony, those guy would be attacked outright and most likely harrassed into never posting again for fear of the retaliation they would get. Cries of shills, money hats, secret discord groups etc would fly left and right. That does make me wonder if Xbox gamers might be older on average than Sony? I definitely see a difference between the two fan groups, and that is seen on how they react to things like YouTube gaming channels like DF and NX etc. Now while I have said I think RGT and to a lesser extent NX, do have a Sony bias, I am not calling them out as shills or paid off hacks.

I would hope people here would be civil. I do recall people claiming DF is biased against Xbox at the other places during the early years of this generation.

The pop in wasn’t big and no doubt just a clitch. I agree with the lack of mud and debris effects, but that could have come in latter?. But how many massive open world games do you know that run at 60 FPS at a native 4K on the current consoles? I know it looked more like a One X game than a Series X one but it still wasn’t as bad as some people were making out … Like how Halo 3 on the 360 looked better Ect.

Yea if it didn’t change much in final version I wouldn’t care i rather have a quality game that runs at a smooth frame rate and is a lot of fun like I think infinite will be
