I was rewatching some footage from Yakuza Like a Dragon and imagining where the series can go after that. Lost Judgment raised some doubts on me about the Ijin Triad current state, and I believe they will bring back some old characters from Kiryu saga as NPCs. Maybe we’ll se Haruka or Akiyama? Maybe Sayama making an appearance again to clean the mess after the events from Like a Dragon? I’m hyping Yakuza 8 a lot, hope we’ll be able to play it this year.

We’re definitely getting a Yakuza this year I’m just not sure if it’s Yakuza 8 or not.
I recently got back to playing Lost Judgment. I just reached Chapter 4 in the game.
I remember buying Lost Judgment last year, playing for a few hours, and then putting it in the back burner due to other games. It feels like the game got overshadowed last year as it has been such a great experience so far. I kind of regret not playing it earlier lol.

It’s incredible. Easily top 3 game in the entire series.
I’m in Chapter 15 on Yakuza 7 and I still thing the good stuff at the end took too long. I wouldn’t say I’m done with Yakuza but I certainly need a long break before I continue with Judgement…
Game is good but the story was not interesting for me until ch 11 or so. the stuff the money dealing wasn’t executed well and overall the middlepart of the story was all over the place. No red trail or anything. And somehow the group got into everything because someone planned so? I don’t feel the story until the end and I also did not got along with Kasuga as much as I like…
Regardless still a great game and depending where the story ends I might come back for 8 who knows

They promised about 10 hours of content on this new DLC. 4 chapters looks good enough to me, they will surely do something way bigger than Majima Saga.
Yeah, the story is a bit messy, but the characters are so good that I didn’t care much about the plot. Overall, it’s a really good JRPG with the Yakuza flavor. And I think it may not have worked this well if it had been a classic Yakuza game with real-time combat. The leveling, the weapons, the jobs, it really adds up to the experience (no pun intended).
You reminded me that I should finish it when I have the time.
Given Kaito’s Yakuza background, hopefully this means we’ll get the Kiryu style side activities like hostess bars, karaoke back.
Hey gang, just a heads up that 3, 4, and 5 Remastered are on sale, at their historic lowest prices. Might be nice to grab them before they eventually leave Game Pass!

Some comments: I’ve got absurdly hyped on Bruiser style, looks so strong and dynamic, almost like a more light Beast Style from Kiryu in Yakuza 0.
Another thing that caught my attention is that both trailers are passing at Kamurocho. I hope we can visit Isezaki Ijincho in this DLC as well.
I bought Lost Judgment at launch and still haven’t played it 
. There was a pricing error here in Canada anyway where it was $50 instead of $80 (still not fixed) so I bought it thinking they would quickly fix it.
I also want to post my progress on… 100% completing all Yakuza games. If you’re wondering why my play order is “weird” (missing 3-5), I’ve actually played those before on PS3 (not 100%). Every other game here was fresh for me except 0 (though I did play PS2 1 and 2 before) which I did also play on PS4 (not 100% though).
And yes, I enjoy Mahjong now

Great achievements, congratulations! You should play at least 3 because some cut content on western PS3 version were added in this remastered version.
Duuuude, that’s wild. I only ever got 100% on 6 and 7, just too put off by Mahjong, and too lazy to do harder playthroughs.
Excited for Kaito Files, just gonna wait for it to actually release at this point instead of looking at stuff!
