The pain and suffering was worth it

I think we’ve had this on Xbox for a bit now because of a bug. Are there no achievements associated with it? Figured there’d at least be something for the boxer style.

I don’t think there are any achievements for it, no. I guess technically it might affect the ā€œget all skillsā€ achievement, but my hunch is that that would pop once you got all the regular skills and not the boxing ones. Can’t check for myself since I bought all the boxing ones first.

This reminds me I didn’t have the chance to fight Higashi, since he wasn’t in the fighter menu. I’ll have to check again in premium adventure.

Gotcha, yea I’ve been avoiding upgrading the boxer skills since I figured it would probably be separate and not count toward the existing achievement. It’s kind of annoying because I like using that style. It really should’ve just shipped with the game

Other games don’t hit the same after you’ve finished a yakuza game. :cold_sweat:

Yeah, I’ve been kind of spinning my wheels and jumping from game to game to find something satisfying. Landed on Metroid Dread but that won’t last long =/

I jumped back to AC Odyssey … talk about a nosedive lmaooo.

I played too many AC games until i realized the series really isn’t for me.

I was listening to a podcast yesterday and I heard a funny comment about the Shenmue anime. Something along the lines of ā€œCan’t wait for the superior-in-every-way Yakuza anime to come a few years later.ā€

(For those who are unaware, it’s a thing I’ve seen online a lot, that Yakuza took what people liked about Shenmue and improved it dramatically and wrapped it all around an actually good game where things happen)

Honestly? Facts.

Just beat the Robotics Club. It’s not bad at all, lol. I was able to cruise through it easily without a single loss. My teammates were actually quite useful once I upgraded them.

Also want to say that the Boxing Club is amazing. Perhaps my favorite minigame in the series, though Cabaret Club comes close.

I’ve only got the Biker Gang and the Girl’s Bar remaining.

Yeah once robotics club clicks it’s not so bad. I really enjoyed the girls bar. It’s not as grindy as it was in previous Yakuza games.

Its kinda annoying that each girl has like 3 topics of discussion.

Sure but it takes like 30 mins to max your relationship with them so it’s not so bad.

It would have been better if they talked about the stuff you can overhear at hangout spots, instead of using those as topics for the girlfriends. It’s really not that bad to just throw a bunch of earrings at them or crush them at darts to increase affection.

Yeah, I have to say that the Robotics club isn’t as bad as it was made out to be and pretty enjoyable overall. The only club I really dislike, is the Motorbike one, due to how shit the gameplay is and that it’s one of the main clubs, so is looooonnnngg.

Yeah, Robotics club always finished fast but the bike club can take forever and then make you fail with a cheap shot. I never bothered buying any materials for robotics club because I had so much stuff lying around, and buying bike upgrades was trivial since money is incredibly easy to come by. It really comes down to how you play and I would much prefer to fail fast than fail slow :stuck_out_tongue:
