Yakuza / Like A Dragon |OT| That's Rad!

Yes, it did feel a little sad to see such an empty Kamurocho (relatively)! Also, your spoiler tag is broken =P

Phone posts donā€™t have preview, Iā€™ll fix asap. Sorry, guys

Should I finish Judgment before watching them?

You should be fine. The interviews are just talking about the characters and the actors who play them. No spoilers or anything.

Playing a Yakuza game for the first time. Started with Like a Dragon since from what Iā€™ve read it seems to serve as a good jumping on point for the series. Loving it so far. The combat is great and the story has been entertaining so far.

Glad youā€™re enjoying it so far. Yakuza Like a Dragon is so fantastic.

Like a Dragon is a great game, and a generally clean break from the story. Bear in mind that some story beats from older games will be affected, and that youā€™re starting with one of the more mechanically advanced ones, so theyā€™ll largely be clunkier. Hope you enjoy it!

Do these games generally work well with Quick Resume?

Iā€™m sure youā€™ll like LAD a lot, but I recommend you to play the others after finishing it. This gives more weight for several things that will happen in the story and some characters you will meet.

My problem with that is these games seem like they are on the longer side and there are a lot of them. We will see though. Maybe Iā€™ll play through them during dry spells if I really end up liking LAD

LAD does. Not sure about the rest.

Like a Dragon was my first Yakuza too, and I absolutely adored it. Since then Iā€™ve gone back and played 0, Kiwami, Kiwami 2, 3, and Judgment.

Some of them can be pretty short actually if you just go through the main story, such as Kiwami and 3. I do think you should at least play Yakuza 0 at some point.

Iā€™ll keep them in mind. Gonna try to get through LAD and Dishonored 2 before flood of Gamepass games come at the end of July and on

Yes, it was one of the best quick resume experience Iā€™ve had on xbox. Also quick resume worked so good it made finishing the series easily like i would leave the game in the middle of a dungeon and go back to it later that night or next day and resume where i was

My Quick Resume queue has 0, 4, 5, 6, and 7 in it. You tell me :stuck_out_tongue:

Loved the first 2 hours of Yakuza 0 in terms of story, however I can see the combat getting kind of repetitive eventually.

Never felt like the combat got repetitive. And Iā€™ve played 5 games with the combat. Heat actions keep things interesting, I feel. Also Yakuza 0 has four fighting styles for both playable characters with a total of eight, so thereā€™s a lot of variety there.

Two more of the translated Lost Judgment interviews. Last one tomorrow.

If youā€™re someone who doesnā€™t have the time to go through the entire Yakuza series than Iā€™d say Yakuza 0 and Yakuza LAD are the two must plays in the series. Theyā€™re well contained stories and donā€™t really require any knowledge of the previous games. Theyā€™re the gold standards of the series.
