Yakuza / Like A Dragon |OT| That's Rad!

Nice! I’ll get started. Thanks!

Oh man, I am getting the hang of the cabaret business, it’s fun! Didn’t expect that, haha. Few questions…

1- Sometimes you can choose to ask a guest if he wants to extend the session, but so far they decline. But the text says long session, so kinda odd. When do I know he really wants to extend it?

2 - Yuki so far still is the only lady that is platinum, and therefore the only one I can change appearance of and also do the training with. All the other ladies are either bronze, silver or gold. Is this just a matter of letting them work a lot and level up and then they become platinum?

3 - And last but not least, I had my first cabaret battle against Club Mars. It went well until it didn’t and I lost. This is very likely a matter of my ladies needing much higher levels, correct? Because Yuki is like level 14 I think and the rest is 3 or 4.

And partnering with shops, I did about 3, how important is this for winning the battle?

I’ll try to help, it’s been a while since I’ve played 0

1 - as far as I know, if the session will be extended is quite random, but the best way to decide who you should try to extend is bases on the happiness of the client.

2 - the hostess grade is permanent, you get the platinum ladies as you advance in the cabaret history.

3 - there’s 3 things that can help you. The first would be level up, like you said it. The second is to notice what the clients of the club area asks more, love, beauty, fun… That way you can cast more hostesses focused on these areas. And last but not least, is to use your fever bar when you have more costumers ou those who pay more, and always try to extend those who pay more, because they enter in fever state.

Hope this helps

Edit: if I remember correctly, partner with store will give you a early boost on the clients that appears on the cabaret.

Yup and double circle means they are really good.

The hostesses don’t change from bronze, silver, gold and platinum they are all fixed. If you won against Club Mars you would have had another platinum on your team, but you can still try again when you feel you’re ready.

Partnering with more shops gets you more customers really.

I don’t think this was mentioned as well but you can recruit more hostesses from certain substories. And some girls you see when you’re out and about, you can buy them gifts like wallets, perfume to get them to join.

Both of you thanks a great deal, very helpful! I truly thought I had to level them up until they turned platinum, haha. Good to know!

Yeah I have a nice amount of ladies that I encountered on the street that had me buying jewelry and clothes and stuff. Now I’m just gonna level them all up a lot and then try the battle again.

Sometimes a guest comes in and it says he prefers cute or funny, and then I see I don’t have any on the list that have these skills, I’ll make sure to have at least two ladies that both have these skills. Also sometimes multiple guests need my attention and when I’m done it’s already too late for the other guest.

Ah well,I’m just gonna keep on with this and I will probably beat Hino from Mars. And I’ll make sure to start the fever when enough guests are in.

I LOVE the Caberet management stuff.

I’m playing now and I see that pretty much all the ladies except for Etsuko are not happy at all. the HP bar lower than half full too. How do I get them to be happy again with a full HP?

It’s a lot of fun, weirdly. I think that the extremely anime trappings help a lot too. The various clubs you need to defeat like it’s a tournament arc  I was glad to see it return in Kiwami 2, and extremely disappointed in every other hostess thing in every other game!

I think giving them the night off will help with that. Rotate your girls, so you can cover more bases!

Did you play a Naughty Dog game before Yakuza? Then you should be aware that crunching your employees to death only works in video game development and not in the cabaret business.

Its also the same in the real estate management game, you have to give your security and manager personal a day off.

Hahaha, the ND reference, I got that one!

Yeah I knew about giving them time to rest, and I thought by just exploring the city and later coming back their HP would be back too. Sounds like it will only regenerate when I use the club and I give them rest there. Got ya

Also noticed that giving them a gift after a session instead of always giving the guest a gift is good too!

So in the other Yakuza games except for Kiwami 2 and this the club isn’t nearly as well done?

Sadly, the other games mostly have you interacting with hostesses as a customer which is much less interesting to me. There’s also a hostess maker-style aspect but it’s much more tedious, and nowhere near as lucrative.

Don’t worry about it for now, and enjoy the side activities you can!

Yeah, cabaret club is only in Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 2. I also liked the real estate Kiryu’s side-game in 0. Then in Yakuza 5 you have a side game for every character, that game is humoungous, lol.

I want to give the ladies some well earned rest, so my plan was to have others work but I see I don’t have enough ladies. So this is just a matter of advancing the main story a little and then come back? I tried just roaming the city for a while but I’m not sure that had their HP and mood becoming good again.

Ooooh wait, almost forgot I can just remove them temporarily from the roster.

Anyway,

This part was just funny af, the two of them peeking, lmao.

Yeah, I don’t remember the exact strategy but it was something along the lines of running the B-team or a skeleton crew. Gotta eat a mediocre night every now and then to make bank :money_mouth_face:

And yeah, that kind of goofy shit is my favorite thing about the series, bar none. Such a contrast with the dramatic main story. It helps flesh out the characters and makes them so much more likable than you would expect.

Hitting the nail on its head there. It’s the perfect balance of serious and funny/goofy. I mean just look at the ridiculous (but cool af) fighting moves during battles,in real life these moves would demolish a human being, not here, they just walk away, hahaha. But then you got the story and it’s serious business for real!

And yep, how both men interact with other people is just great, really indeed builds up their character even more.

It really is, I just now finished it off, and despite doing SO MUCH STUFF, I’m still only at 80% completion.

Edit: @Staffy, let us know when you finish the game, there’s something I wanna say

Will do! But trust me when I say it’s gonna be a good while before that happens, I’m gonna do my best to truly do and get everything in this,I love it.

I’m still busy leveling up the ladies to around level 20 or so,like Yuki is. Then I’m gonna try the battle again.

Letssssss gooooooo

I demolished the Mars club and I love it.

In the beginning of the battle Hino got the fever way too soon ,that got me scared. Until I kept getting sunshine fever many many times. My team of all star ladies did a hell of a job.

My team’s profit is 23,680,000

His profit is 9,630,000

Lovely game. And I’m hooked to the club management and normally I don’t dig this kind of stuff one bit.

Something tells me some very challenging battles await me.

@Staffy, next time you play a chapter as Kiryu you have to bowl a turkey for Emiri. Shit is hilarious.

Not sure what this means?

I assume the bowling minigame but Emiri doesn’t ring a bell to me, maybe I need to advance story? I’m in chapter 7.
