Yakuza / Like A Dragon |OT| That's Rad!

Saejima legit the worst part of the game.

I usually get as many achievements as I can (without burning myself out), but Yakuza 3/4 I basically mainlined the story with intention to clean up more after I play 6. Just need to play through 5 quick… but dammit Sekiro.

Pretty good read if you have beaten Like a Dragon (Only read if you’ve beaten it because it contains spoilers)

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is miles better than Kiwami lol also Hostess minigame

It’s sooooo good.

Frustrating (it’s the first game since I think the PS2 that I’ve actually gotten a blister from playing), but amazing.

I’m on the last boss now (didn’t realize I perfectly timed it for the 2 year anniversary).

Just expect a lot of trial and error. I recommend for each boss being willing to go in open minded to the idea that you’ll die, but it a time to learn the bosses moves.

Hostess mini game should get a spin-off mobile game or something. It’s so addicting.

At side content maybe but overall I think its an inferior game.

I mean Yakuza Kiwami can be really bullshit at times. Kiwami 2 on the other hand is just a breeze to play through, but it’s fun. You can also tell it had a much smaller budget based on how much they copied 0.

Because Kiwami is a ps2 game remake done after 0 while 0 is a brand new game that built up a lot of assets? I dont get your point.

Not saying that Kiwami reusing assets from 0 is a bad thing (it’s a good way to save money/time), I’m trying to say that it’s much more limited, which is reflected in its low price at launch, while Kiwami 2 is a more full-fledged game. Feel like there’s a lot less polish in Kiwami. But it’s not a bad game, I still like it. Just prefer the other games a lot more.

Only thing inferior about kiwami 2 to me is the 30fps on console but It’s much better than kiwami.

Is it me, or is the encounter rate pretty high in Yakuza 5. Seems like its much worse kn the hokkaido section. I got on like 3 fights in one block.

As a package maybe but Kiwami 1 story to me is infinitely better than 2.

I expected more from 2 when all I heard was that it was the “best one”.

It’s very high. Hold RB when you see someone who wants to fight and you’ll be able to walk by them. Kiryu can also find an item that allows you to turn off enemy encounters.

It generally gets to a point where I don’t want to brawl with every thug in the city and just want to complete a task or the game. Those items can be a real Godsend.

I just started Tanimura on Yakuza 4. Work was really dragging last week so I didn’t have much time to play. Chapter 4 with Saejima was so annoying, taking all them detours just to go to someplace that’s literally right next to me was not fun at all. Also didn’t manage to complete all his sidequests unfortunately, Brother and Sister 3 sucks and I gave up because you couldn’t use any recovery items. The no use of weapons didn’t bother me as I seldom use it. Sucks because I did all of Akiyama’s substories.

Loved Saejima’s story though.

The Yakuza 0 references were pretty cool, especially with the Little Asia entrances. Even noticed one of the NPCs talking about partying like it’s 1988.

At this point I can’t agree with this statement. So far the second game to me has a much better pacing and flow.

the story is absolute nonsense so hard for me to put it over Kiwami

oh FUCK LET’S GOOOO
