Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 coming to PS5, Xbox Series on December 8

Publisher SEGA and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will release Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on December 8 worldwide, following the release of the previously announced Switch 2 versions on November 13, the companies announced. The PC version will also be updated with additional language support on December 9.

A physical edition including both games will also be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Additionally, a Yakuza Series 20th Anniversary Bundle physical edition will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC, which includes Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Yeah, Kiwami 2 is locked at 30 FPS on Xbox. Yakuza 6 is 60 FPS with FPS boost.

I guess I’m replaying those games with the new versions. I’m excited for Yakuza 0 Director’s which is the first game I played in the series and also the one I didn’t like that much and never finished.

Kiwami games are remakes of 1, 2 and the upcoming 3.

The first 2 are getting native Xbox Series updates, with Kiwami 2 hopegully getting 60fps.

Yeah, Kiwami 2 is locked at 30 FPS on Xbox. Yakuza 6 is 60 FPS with FPS boost.

I guess I’m replaying those games with the new versions. I’m excited for Yakuza 0 Director’s which is the first game I played in the series and also the one I didn’t like that much and never finished.

Directors cut apparently added somethings that were cut before that unfortunately don’t go well with the story told.

0 is also considered to be one of if not the best game in the series, but I do hope you enjoy your time with the earlier entries remakes.

I played Kiwami 1 and 2 start to finish. I loved them both. I played 3, 4 and 5 a tiny bit (I was burned out tbh and the games didn’t age well). I played 6 start to finish and then 7 which I loved. I should get back to Infinite Wealth to finish it. I adored Judgment 1 and Lost Judgment was good.

I know 0 is considered one, if not, the best. I just started with it when the series came to Xbox and didn’t vibe with the long cutscenes. I also wanted to play a game that focuses on Kiryu.
