Nice. I took my javelin out for one last spin last night. Lots of people playing, I did a few missions and took one last lap around the map. A shame they let it die.
Another week has gone by already and the points are flowing in! Zip zipping into first place and half the roster now has their first points. Keep up the good work everyone ![]()
The Leaderboard
Welp, first negative points coming in… Well, half a point anyway. Got a “just for you” upgrade offer at €10, hard to argue with that.
From the Ashes (Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora DLC) -0.5
Great pickup, hopefully. I wondered how wide they offered that. On a whim I looked at the Store’s JFY deals, where normally it’s 90% “You Own This”, and saw this deal. Redeemed $10 worth of MS Rewards, which left $0.81 to cover with CC.
Hah yeah, it looks cool and I was planning to pick it up sooner or later before I play the game anyway. I also used points ![]()
I decided to bite on that deal as well.

The Division 2: New York DLC Bundle
Got back into this game in the past few days and I’m really enjoying it. Decided to buy the two expansions on sale. I was able to use rewards points for the whole amount so no cash out of pocket at least.
1 ish
EA closed Anthem so I’m officially done with this game and can find a better use for the disc.
Nice, I’ve had my eye on those for a while too… But too many games atm. Jesse seems to enjoy them a lot when he streams!
The ironic thing is I decided to pick the game back up because of the Avatar crossover event but it turns out, as far as I can tell, you have to be max level to actually do the bounties for the Avatar items. I won’t get there before the event is over, but it got me back into the game anyway ![]()
Oh, haha. Well it should be fun anyway ![]()
I haven’t played The Division 2 in a long time, but it’s always on the list of things I want to get back to.
RIP ![]()
I’m a sucker for a good adventure game, and I love this setting. The trailer really had me curious but this review had me sold on it. Just look at it.

(Hope I’m doing it correctly now)
It’s only €4.99 now. (This game is based on Ken Follet’s books. And gives me strong Game of Thrones vibes.
Is it too late to sign up?
If not.
1 - Nobody wants to Die
-1 - Shadow Tactics (played on GP, bought in sale)
Not too late, you’re welcome to join! ![]()
Is that your total for this year so far?
Far Cry New Dawn +1
I spent a lot more time on this than I had originally planned, it was surprisingly good. I ended up clearing everything except the co-op things pretty much. A great epilogue to Far Cry 5!
Story is decent and in line with the craziness of FC5, and drives the exploration and map clearing well. No one does map games quite as good as Ubisoft, that’s for sure. Just walking from point A to B can be hours of emergent gameplay, where something always happens and somehow manages to almost always be relevant as you collect resources or doing challenges. There’s crazy characters, fun weapons and vehicles, lots of animals to hunt and locations to explore.
You can go in guns blazing in the craziest over the top- way or stealth your way through, there’s a lot of options. You can have different companions who add to your preferred playstyle, it’s all very thought through and easy to swap around. The gameplay is really fun.
Much recommended if you are into Far Cry games, or Ubisoft map games in general. Or just want to shoot things! I do think you need to play FC5 first though, to get the most out of it.
I played that on Xbox and I liked it after I got into it a bit. I hadn’t read the book but I had seen the miniseries and I thought it did a good job of turning it into a game.
I may need to give FC5 another try (and I know I have this one too) I didn’t love it and dropped it a few missions in, it just didn’t feel great to me somehow control wise or something. I liked the story though
FC5 has some issues, but I really liked it. Story is good and the map is great, lots of things to do. It really comes together well with New Dawn. Great setting!
Yes, that’s me so far. Not bought any others, though started some GP things.
