Wow. I literally checked this yesterday afternoon and it was still set at full price. Not that I was going to buy it or anything but now, for $5 which I just checked and yeah, it is for 7 days, that’s freaking insane.
I haven’t really been keeping track. But I pretty much haven’t played much of anything since I beat Astro Bot in September. Certainly haven’t finished anything.
But I’ve bought more stuff, that’s for sure. Not sure how many though.
I was more up to date than expected, only two unaccounted for:
-1 The Thing Remastered
-1 Suicide Squad :Kill The Justice League Deluxe Edition
Total -13.5
The Thing looks very cool!
It was a great game. I still have the original Xbox copy in my closet. I just buy anything Night Dive does, whether I intend on playing it immediately or not.
-5
- Prodeus
- Hypnospace Outlaw
- Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer
- Saline: Back from Hell
- BUTCHER
Total = -18.5
Or is everyone else doing it wrong?
+2.5 (1, .5, .5, .5)
A World of Keflings and three DLC worlds: Sugar Spice and Not So Nice, The Curse of the Zombiesaurus, It Came from Outer Space.
Very similar to A Kingdom for Keflings, but with some improvements like larger helpers that follow you around and carry parts of buildings for you. The main story is a set of three worlds (Ice, Forest, Desert) where you have to handle a bunch of requests to build things and get resources for them. I think the story and humor in this one are better than the other, and that carried over into the DLC as well. The first DLC was a candy related world, had a big Oompa Loompa like thing and Augustus Gloop and Charlie the Unicorn (but somehow didn’t take advantage of that). The second was kind of a Halloweenish one with you helping out a vampire, werewolf and witch. The third had aliens that had crashed and you had to help them so that they could rebuild their ship. All very similar to the main game but with different buildings to build and situations to help the characters with. Pretty good game if you’re in the right mood for it.
- +1 Spider-Man 2
- New Total = 14.5
For context, I have been a Spidey fan for approximately 50 years. I still have a large stack of 70s and 80s era comics in a box in a closet (unfortunately never bagged or boarded).
I even have a huge set of Miles Morales comic compilation books that I bought “for my son” years ago - that have somehow remained in my possession after he became an adult and moved out.
All that is to say I have a deep affection for these characters and know quite a bit about their backstories and am familiar with many (but not nearly all) of their main story arcs.
Now, on to the game. I really enjoyed this - and I definitely needed the change of pace after playing so many long rpgs recently. This was not a short game by any stretch, but it also was not a life-destroying 100-hour monster. Compared to most of the games I have played this year Spidey 2 was short and sweet.
I thought the story was good. Before starting, the only things I really knew about this game were that Peter and Miles were both in it and that the villain was Kraven. So, I was pleasantly surprised to discover there was quite a bit more going on with the plot.
As always, the combat and traversal are top notch - though I must admit to being worn out by the sheer volume of combat by the end of the game. So many of the fights seemed to go on for a looonnnggg time.
BTW, why the heck is Mary Jane’s stun gun the best attack in the game? I swear if Peter and Miles both had that stun gun the game would have taken a third as long.
Anyway, despite those (and a few other) quibbles I had a lot of fun with this. It’s a solid 8.5 or so for me.
-1 Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition
I remembered that it is getting delisted this week.
Total -19.5
Good choice. I had to check a while back that I owned it.
Shouldn’t that be one of the exceptions to losing points? Delistings?
Possibly. At this point, for me at least, I don’t think it’s gonna make a tangible difference. lol.
It should, and is.
Haha, very true.
Update! The penultimate week has gone by and it’s seen a bunch of completions and purchases but no change in placements. This is it, only one more week to go! Good luck everyone!

Lol I’m in the middle of a major project launch, so I think it’s safe to call it for Zip, unless one of their contestants pulls a ton of completions out of their pockets
I’m playing Indy, so that will probably keep me busy through the 15th.
I plan to come back in the new year with several completions in quick succession - for games I spent a lot of time with but never finished for one reason or another: Infinite Wealth, Dragon Quest XII, and the latest Jedi game at least.
