Hi-Fi Rush is being played by a ton of Japanese streamers, I think that game has more to do with it then suddenly people rushing out to get one because it’s going up. If people didn’t want the console to begin with they’re not gonna rush to the store to get one because it’s going up. Sure there probably are people who were sitting on the fence and are now jumping in because of the price increase but I doubt it was a majority of the sales.

Does anyone here follow more than just XGS? I’m currently on a bit of a Capcom SEGA thing at the moment after finishing Hi-Fi Rush. I beat DMCV yesterday and I’m planning on playing through Yakuza franchise because I never really completed any of them.
I had more fun with Devil May Cry V than I did with God of War 2018.

Yeah I like DMC V, cool cutscenes and an awesome battlesystem, but I think some of the environments looked pretty boring. Still overall a cool game, but I like Hi-Fi Rush more.
I played the original Yakuza back in the day. And Yakuza 0 and Like a Dragon when they released on Xbox. I love Sega and like these Games but there are just so many of them that I probably won’t be able to play them all. I think I’ll just stick with the Like a Dragon games from now on.

Better brace for articles coming because the guy behind Metal: Hellsinger is stealth moaning on Twitter about Game Pass increasing game sales when Phil mentioned it all the way back in like 2018 vs what they said in 2023 to regulators about Game Pass.
I’m sorry but maybe Metal: Hellsinger didn’t sell well because it was niche and imo not very good, I tried it on Game Pass and deleted it after an hour and if it wasn’t in Game Pass I wouldn’t have even tried it at all.
Also mentions in his article “our games”
“When you put a game like Forza Horizon 4 on Game Pass, you instantly have more players of the game, which is actually leading to more sales of the game,” he said. “Some people have questioned that, but when State of Decay 2 launched, you saw if you looked in the US at the NPD you saw this game selling really well the month it launched on GamePass.”

I have seen some reactions like this and I would respectfully disagree. This is more of Bluepoint remaster than a remake. Dead Space is like Resident Evil 1 Remake. Same destination, different journey and experience.

I hope Xbox is in talks with Koei to get Atelier Ryza 3 on Xbox, because this isn’t a typical budget Atelier game. Literally looks like Atelier of the Wild lol.
I’m used to Atelier maps being small corridors with invisible walls everywhere, so this just drops my jaw.
This was right next to the Wo Long booth at TGS, and it’s presence there was bigger than Wo Long’s even, so Phil and Sarah have definitely seen it. It’s only out in a month though so it would be a late port…

That does look good. Nothing is stopping Xbox, and I’m sure they have been trying and aren’t giving up. Just look at the progress made when it comes to Asian games in general.
Haven’t played an Atelier game since Sophie so this is definitely a surprise. Showing some big Genshin Impact energy.
You have to imagine Xbox have tried to get games like these on the platform, but there must be some pretty steep financial requirements (read: mandatory Game Pass money) expected. Fingers crossed though

I agree with you. Metal Hellsinger was a disappointment to me. It’s not Gamepass’ fault if your game is boring.

Some games will benefit, other’s wont and it should be obvious at this point
If your game is booty then it will probably bring lower sales because people can basically use GP as a trial instead of paying for it
If your game is really good and goes viral like a HoL or HFR, then sales will explode
There’s many different factors that will effect their performance in GP, besides, the GP money is supposed to cover your costs, if you take that deal and it doesn’t work out then that’s on you and your game

Back in business, the new TV has arrived!
The only problem is, I won’t be able to set it up today, can’t do that on my own and the only one I know that can help won’t be able to today, small chance tomorrow. Yep, that’s the downside of not having many friends or acquaintances nearby and always wanting a huge screen, lol. Ah well.

If Ni Kuni and some other games are any indication, it’s that no game is old enough for Game Pass. In other words, if the series comes to Xbox, they can in fact bring the trilogy.
